WALL not working on Debian 12
Hello, I have noticed that (apparensly) since Debian 12 upgrade the WALL commands for upsmon.conf don's seem to work. To test I have configured upsmon-dummy.conf to debug this: NOTIFYCMD /usr/sbin/upssched NOTIFYFLAG ONBATT SYSLOG+EXEC+WALL NOTIFYFLAG ONLINE SYSLOG+EXEC+WALL the /usr/sbin/upssched gets called: /lib/nut/upsmon -D -D -D -D -f /etc/nut/upsmon-dummy.conf and I

WALL not working on Debian 12
Maybe...ish - I haven't seen those for a while, but had few outages either. Can you check if the updated (root) user profile or default profile(s) under /etc mention `mesg n` or similar means of limiting broadcasts? In your manual `wall` executions, do you see them in the same terminal that sent the message, or on all terminals (GUI, SSH sessions)? As root or as any user (as recipient and as

Help with Elite 800VA usb UPS
Ok, I am running NUT in dummy mode. I have added a new ups in ups.conf [dummy] driver = dummy-ups port = upsc.dev desc = "dummy ups for testing purposes" upsc.dev has been generated by exporting the Elit configuration. I have added the monitor line in upsmon.conf and the "exec" flags (all the events) MONITOR dummy at artu 1 user pass master SHUTDOWNCMD

You have specified that upsmon is to call upssched-script _directly_. This means that the argument to

upssched. Again.
Hi everyone, Here I am with my second attempt to persuade upssched to do things; for some reasons it just won't! Or if it runs, it never runs the script. OK, the story first: 2.0.3 (conveniently comes as RPMs by default on FC6) running on FC6; APC Smart-UPS 750 via serial connection all working fine. Here are the main files: /etc/sysconfig/ups SERVER=yes MODEL=apcsmart DEVICE=/dev/ttyS0

Low battery unexpected shutdown
Hello. Battery, battery, battery. I am only thinking at worn batteries. I recently had the same symptoms with an hp/eaton g3 1500va. One of the 3 batteries was reading a healthy 12.8v, but when put under load it would quickly drain. I would measure each battery and test them under load, like with a car headlight bulb switched on both fillaments. On Thu, 23 Apr 2020, 16:54 Marc Franquesa,

timers and their usage
Hi everyone, new to the list but a long time nut user. I've tried a couple of times to set up a timer to avoid getting annoying messages when the system goes on battery for only a few seconds. in uppsched.conf I added this at the bottom: AT ONBATT * START-TIMER onbattwarn 60 AT ONLINE * CANCEL-TIMER onbattwarn What am I missing? it still doesn't wait before alerting me.

Setup of upssched on opensuse 11
Hi all I?m not sure if this is the right place to post but I?m at wits end. So here we go. Running opensuse 11 with two ups that can be seen via web interface and post messages on the console. My issue lies in trying to get the upssched and upsmon to work correctly. Currently I have the exec flags denoted in the upsmon and ?NOTIFYCMD /usr/sbin/upssched? is specified as the NOTIFYCMD flag as

Email Alerts for Multiple UPSs with upssched
There's supposedly another way with a custom upsmon.conf: NOTIFYMSG type message upsmon comes with a set of stock messages for various events. You can change them if you like. NOTIFYMSG ONLINE "UPS %s is getting line power" NOTIFYMSG ONBATT "Someone pulled the plug on %s" Note that %s is replaced with the identifier of the UPS in question. The message must be one
