Can you describe this a little more? What kind of NAS? What version of NUT is it running?
The part that seems odd is

2.6 and 2.2
I want to upgrade to 2.6 now that it is an official release.
I have one box that is connected to the UPS via the serial port
('master'). I have another box that connects to the master over the
network.
Can I upgrade the master to 2.6, leaving the other box at 2.2, or do I
need to upgrade everything to 2.6 at the same time?
Eventually I want to bring everything up to 2.6, but I

The NAS is a QNAP 659-II
It appears that NUT is installed:

(newb) Installing on windows w/Eaton 5110.
I like to think of myself as reasonably intelligent when it comes to
systems (MS in Comp Sci, albeit a few hundred moons ago), but I seem to
be missing something when it comes to installing NUT on a 64 bit windows
XP system.
I downloaded and attempted it install but the installer said I needed
to install libusb manually. So I went and grabbed that, unpacked the
ZIP file and ran the

Windows Version not working --
Good evening,
Hoping someone can point me in the right direction..
I downloaded and installed the 2.6.5-6 Windows MSI and it installed
fine, although I nee to also get a libusb0.dll.
Connected USB to a Triplite, I could go to the Devices and Printers and
see the USB installed.
But no matter what I did I could not get nut to work. I tried various
commands, and got various errors.

NUT - General Concept Question
I've been looking over the documentation and several installation guides for NUT, and I'm starting to get a little bit of a feel for what it is. But I'm still not clear whether what I'd *like* to accomplish is actually practical using NUT. Perhaps someone here can tell me if they've done something similar, or if I'm way off base.
I would like to set up a Linux host as a

Adding power devices support to Fusion Inventory
Dear Fusion Inventory fellows,
I've been thinking about working on adding power devices knowledge to
inventory systems for years.
Following the last Ubuntu Developer Summit, I know have an "excuse" to do
so:

My below proposition is related to the above blueprint. So please keep in
mind that the
