FC4 + nut => shutdown sequence conundrum
Summary ======= I have encountered problems with the nut shutdown sequence using the directory structure in the packages for Fedora Core 4. These problems occur when the /var file system is mounted as a separate volume. I have done some investigation and think that I have an answer, but I need verification from someone who has more experience from nut on a wider variety of systems. I want to

genericups CP custom config not working
It look to me that overwriting UPSTYPE CP signal or polarity in ups.conf have no effect. Looking at drivers/main.c source show that &upstab[upstype].line_norm is set to custom CP in initinfo() only _AFTER_ the serial signals are actually set by upsdrv_initups().

Scatterplot matrix one column vs. the rest of the dataset
have a data frame composed of many columns. I would like to hold one column constant and scatter plot it agianst all of the other columns? how do I do this? I have only been able to plot(x) and use indexes to create an entire scatterplot matrix, but not hold one constant. -- Let's not spend our time and resources thinking about things that are so little or so large that all they really do

plotting matrix
a <- c(1:26) b <- rnorm(25) e <- rnorm(25) f <- rnorm(25) g <- data.frame(b,e, a,f) I would like to plot a agianst all possibilities and then shoot it out to a pdf one graph per page. I think it would be okay to have this as a lattice plot or a ggplot with many graphs per page. I can figure all of that out I think, but I need something like r <- as.matrix(g) plot(.~a, data=r)

best analysis method : for time series ans cross sectional data
Howdy What I 'd like to analyze with a large data on building permits is to find time series effect of urban policy on buildings as well as cross-sectional effects in any. In 1990 the specialZone urban policy was introduced. I guess that the effects of this specialZone policy would be different from countys. There are counties that do not welcome this specialZone forced to design it. One of

syntax for push to remote rsync server
Hi, I have set up two servers as rsync servers with ssh, they sync agianst each other. I can pull data down from either remote node when logged into one of them, using a module defined on both servers. However I don't seem to be able to push from the localhost to the remote rsync server. I think I'm using the incorrect syntax. If someone could highlight where I'm going wrong it would

Inconsistent results between multi_search and find_by_contents (is "other" a reserved word?)
I have a Computer type and I''m trying to query agianst it. When I do the query with find_by_contents, I get correct results. However, when I query using multi_search, I get incorrect results. MGE-UTALK regression since nut-server-2.2.2
Hi all ! I have communication issues between my station and my old Pulsar EX10 UPS, (U-Talk) connected by RS232, when using v2.4.1 of nut-server. I tried to come back to version 2.2.2 and then, communication start and is operational. Maybe it's linked to bug 498655, but i haven't seen any answer ? http://www.mail-archive.com/debian-bugs-dist at lists.debian.org/msg566711.html Here are
