You can set the LLVM_PARALLEL_LINK_JOBS CMake variable to restrict the number of link jobs. Switching to Ninja
You are correct, sir. Everything works much better if I run CMake and Ninja from a "developer command prompt." I displayed the path and almost fell off my chair laughing. The road to hell is paved with environment variable entries. Two questions. 1. Building with Visual Studio created build/release/bin. Building with Ninja created build/bin (no release directory). Does that make sense?

Ninja behavior that befuddles me
This morning I did a build with Ninja, which mysteriously decided to rebuild the entire system (something about a deps stamp being corrupted). When it was done, I had a new llvm-tblgen.exe, but all the target .inc files were old. Hmm. So I touched one of the TableGen source files and did another build. Again, a new llvm-tblgen.exe but no new .inc files. I do, however, have a new .inc.d file

Ninja behavior that befuddles me
I'm a total newbie as far as CMake and Ninja are concerned. How do I force Ninja to build the target .inc files? I'm working on TableGen, so my changes to the executable may indeed change the output files. I want to be sure they did not, in fact, change. Should I just touch all the .td files? Memory overflow during cmake/ninja build
I'm trying to do a simple build from the git 8.0.0 sources. The sources seem to build OK but a link step fails from running out of memory. Hi All, I am first time trying build CLANG+LLVM using cmake+ninja build system. I updated all my CLANG+LLVM sources to current trunk, and I successfully built it using classic *make* build system. I'm seeing this too. CC'ing the author ubsan stuff. Richard, I know you were OK with only supporting Clang-bootstraps, but I don't think that's terribly viable here. We should be able to build ubsan's runtime with standards conforming code unless there is some fairly extreme reason not to... I certainly agree that there are a boatload of CMake options. I haven't even scratched the surface. In keeping with your suggestion: Is there a way to tell Ninja to build just one target machine? Has anyone built Compiler-RT on Windows? I am attempting to compile it for ARM, but I get errors from CMake. It appears to be trying to pass VC++ flags to Clang. I am using a version of Clang built from trunk. Help Building LLVM for Android
