Building A Project Against LLVM
I've managed to get 10.0.0 working now.. there were a couple things I had to adjust. The Kaleidoscope example had me doing this before creating the object file: llvm::InitializeAllTargetInfos(); llvm::InitializeAllTargets(); llvm::InitializeAllTargetMCs(); llvm::InitializeAllAsmParsers(); llvm::InitializeAllAsmPrinters(); It turns out I can get away with just this, since I'm not (yet)

Building A Project Against LLVM
I decided to start playing around with building my own programming language recently, and to use LLVM to handle the assembly-level details. I'm on Kubuntu 18.04, and I started out using LLVM 6.0 from Kubuntu's packages. I put together code for dealing with my language, then went over the Kaleidoscope tutorials (which have been extremely helpful btw!). I was able to successfully get my

[LLVMdev] VMKIT: Assertion at build
Hi Nicolas, it looks like there are missing things $ more lib/j3/LLVMRuntime/LLVMRuntime.inc // Generated by llvm2cpp - DO NOT MODIFY! Module* makeLLVMModuleContents(Module *mod) { mod->setModuleIdentifier("<stdin>"); // Type Definitions // Function Declarations // Global Variable Declarations // Constant Definitions // Global Variable Definitions // Function

unit testing for R packages?
Hi All, I'm interested in putting some unit tests into an R package I'm building. I have seen assorted things such as Runit library, svUnit library, packages with 'tests' directories, etc I grep'd "unit test" through the writing R extensions manual but didn't find anything. Are there any suggestions out there? Currently I have several (a lot?) classes/methods

switch to reference counting in R-devel
Baring any unforeseen issues R-devel will switch in about a week from the NAMED mechanism to reference counting for determining when objects can be safely mutated in base C code. This is expected to have minimal impact on packages not using unsupported coding practices in their C code. The transition to reference counting has been in progress for a number of years. Some older notes on this are

Zaptel card AND Ztdummy together?
I had a weird (unforeseen) situation today. We have a remote office with an * server and ISDN 10 service. We connect to each other over an IAX trunk with G729. Today, some of Sydney experienced a power surge which knocked out their ISDN services. Without a clock source on their PRI card, my IAX calls to them resulted in one-way audio (they could hear me, but I not them). Is it possible to load

Auto-updates -- Bad Idea?
Hello, As I've learned recently, I do not have any auto updates configured on my system. I see some posts on the web encouraging the use of "yum-cron", but I'd like to know what people feel about the use of automatic updates. That is, for a server (non-desktop) system, automatic updates could break things or have other unforeseen consequences, and that could happen at

Status of upcoming 2.6.0 release
The changes made to 2.6.0pre1 have been pretty minor so far, so I had been debating whether we needed a pre2 release or not. I finally decided to go ahead and release what little there is, just to give folks a final opportunity to double check the final release: http://samba.org/ftp/rsync/preview/rsync-2.6.0pre2.tar.gz http://samba.org/ftp/rsync/preview/rsync-2.6.0pre2.tar.gz.sig

problem with Wildcard 100XP and hangup signal
Hi, We are currently testing Asterisk with Wildcard 100XP and serveral Cisco ATA Box. Everything works great except that the card does not detect the hangup signal. We are using a standard Belgian PSTN line. I have not found anything about a be zone (only us, fr, de, nl, ...). Does someone experience the same problem? Do I need to create a new zone be (and how to do that)? Another small

profile provider: is it me doing stupid things?
Just showing someone how great DTrace is and then we spot something I do not understand. Of course it can be a major misunderstanding of myself. Would appreciate another (expert) look upon this. The goal we try to achieve is trying to get insight if there is a bursty nature in the time slot when system calls are done. Following DTrace snippet is tried: dtrace -q -p 3173 -n

[GSoC 2016] Capture Tracking Improvements - Mid term report
Hello, This is a more detailed overview of my progress than the weekly reports, which can also be found on the mailing list. Over the past two weeks I have been learning a lot more about capture tracking. From this I was able to instrument the current implementation in order to identify some of the false positives in it. I was hoping to have more definitive results by now than what I
