Mustek PowerMust 1000/1400/2000 USB (megatec, megatec_usb?)
Hi, a few days ago, I bought some of those Mustek UPSes that have both a serial and a USB connector. Currently only the serial port is supported by the megatec driver. This works fine so far. Now I have seen there is a megatec_usb driver, which currently only supports 2 other UPSes. How can I help to find out whether the PowerMust might actually work with the megatec_usb driver? -- Regards,

samba share name lengths
I seem to recall that Windows NT/95/98 allow long (>32) names to be visible as share names. However, samba seems to limit my share names to 13 characters in version 2.2.1a. If I create a share with a name longer than that, it cannot be accessed. Am I missing something? Thanks for your help. Linus

Mustek Powermust 600VA
Hi, I'm having a hard time configuring a Mustek Powermust 600VA ups to work via USB with nut. I read somewhere that nut works OK via the rs232 cable, but unfortunately I don't have a COM port in my computer. The kernel detects the ups as an Xbox pad :) and loads the xpad module. I tried running /lib/nut/megatec with different /dev/ttySx but it displays megatec protocol UPS was not

Wildcard expansion in remote files or recursion?
Hi all, [Please CC me in replies, I am not subscribed to this list.] First of all, thanks for puppet! It is a very nice tool and I''m in the (slow) process of using it to manage my new Xen-based virtual server farm with it. Most of the "simple" tasks worked well so far, and I may be able to add a few recipies to the Wiki when I find time to do so. However, is there any way

[HCL] PowerShield Defender 1200VA supported by blazer_usb (mustek subdriver)
Hi Team, I've been experimenting with getting the PowerShield Defender 1200VA UPS working and it appears to be supported by the blazer_usb driver, although it did not have the correct permissions within udev to load the driver as the non-root user after an RPM install on Fedora Core 16. Fwd: RE New xanto driver for NUT
Dear Andreas, some googling revealed, you created a driver for the xanto series of online-usv.de. In what state it is currently? I've to manage a S2000 and would like to use nut for it, is it usable by now? Do you need another tester? TIA, Pete

can't make mustek powermust 600usb work
Disclaimer: I've setup APC UPS monitoring and it works... ... but when it comes to mustek powermust 600usb (connected via com-port), I can't make it work. Got NUT installed via aptitude in ubuntu feisty and a basic setup, exactly the same as for the apc, except for the name of the ups and the corresponding section of ups.conf -- [mustek] driver = megatec port = /dev/ttyS1

PowerWalker UPS - Re-branded Mustek ?
Hello ! first off, thank you all for making this piece of software. from what i have seen so far this seems to be a really mature and advanced tool for all sorts of UPS models ! I`d like to tell that I own a UPS which isn`t listed on the compatibility list, but seems to be compatible. It is a PowerWalker - see this at

Some questions on driver implementation and variable names
I've just written an NUT driver to manage a Masterguard UPS connected via USB, and some questions arose. Why I wrote a new driver? The servers in question only have two serial ports, so I want to use USB. I first wrote the low-level USB routines expecting to integrate them into the existing masterguard driver. However, that driver was so rudimentary I wrote my own one. It can be

Re: NUT mustek UPS driver (fwd)
"mustek" is all but deprecated, so the effort should be to get powermust/megatec working. Since you have the latest development code installed, can you please run "/path/to/megatec -DDDD -a the_name_for_your_ups" (this without starting NUT normally - i.e. without upsd, upsmon, etc) and send me the output? The output should help me figure out why you are getting data stale

problem with output voltage on a mustek ups
Hi there I have a Mustek PowerMust 1000 USB using serial port /dev/ttyS0. I use nut 2.2.1 with the megatec driver on Debian Lenny (testing), running on an AMD64 X2. (I was using a Debian Etch as slave, but to keep it simple I turned it off) My problem is that sometimes the UPS is running OK, but when the message "UPS is trimming incoming voltage" appears on knutclient (i.e. OL TRIM in

Mustek PowerMust 1000AV USB feedbacks
Hello, It looks like the nut-upsuser list is momentarily down. That's why I send it to nut-upsdev list too. I have recently bought a mustek Powermust 1000VA USB (sadly not the USB P version). I have done some tests with the latest nut 2.2.0 megatec and megatec_usb drivers. Here are my feedbacks. It works quite well but is extremely noisy in battery mode (and that is not the noise of the

Mustek PowerMust 600 USB on Gentoo
Hi, I'm trying to setup my Mustek 600 with USB (no serial ports on my computer) on Gentoo. The configuration I use is: [Mustek] driver = megatec_usb port = auto desc = "Power Mustek 600 USB" The NUT I use on my x86_64 machine is: sys-power/nut-2.4.3-r2 USE="bash-completion ssl usb xml -cgi -hal -snmp" When I start upsdrv I get: weasel ~ # /etc/init.d/upsdrv start

Masterguard A-19 3000
I am trying to get this UPS talking with NUT (2.2.0) under Fedora 7/CentOS5. I have searched the mailing list and found some infos: http://lists.alioth.debian.org/pipermail/nut-upsdev/2007-February/001799.html but I'm not really sure how that helps me. USB would be cool but I don't really need that, it just has to work. I have also found a document that shows the pinout of the com port

Mustek PowerMust 800VA
Hello, fisrt, you should subscribe to the NUT user mailing list to get a good support, since I've personaly no knowledges about such units: http://lists.alioth.debian.org/mailman/listinfo/nut-upsuser Next, you should try the latest nut release (2.0.5 currently, but 2.2.0 soon) and most of all the new megatec driver. 2007/6/10, esva2 at inbox.lv <esva2 at inbox.lv>: > Dear
