Multiple regression in R - unstandardised coefficients are a different sign to standardised coefficients, is this correct?
Hello, I have a statistical problem that I am using R for, but I am not making sense of the results. I am trying to use multiple regression to explore which variables (weather conditions) have the greater effect on a local atmospheric variable. The data is taken from a database that has 20391 data points (Z1). A simplified version of the data I'm looking at is given below, but I have a

Help with plotting error bars in R
Hi, I'm sorry to send email to everyone on this list, but I have a simple question which is bothering me and I can't seem to figure out the correct answer. I just downloaded R and I'm trying to reproduce some simple analysis I've done on other packages. In particular, if I have a vector of experimental values and a vector of their uncertainties, is there a way to plot the

I'm new to R (and to S) and am wondering about code from pages 72 and 83 of MASS (Venables+Ripley, 3rd edition), to draw an envelope on a QQ plot. Copying from the book, I've got: #... code whose gist is "a.fit <- nls(..." num.points <- length(resid(a.fit)) qqnorm(residuals(a.fit)) # illustrate data-model residuals qqline(residuals(a.fit)) samp <-

Barplots and error indicators: Some R-Code
I' ve seen that several people are looking for a function that creates a barplot with an error indicators (I was one of them myself). Maybe you will find the following code helpful (There are some examples how to use it at the end): # Creates a barplot. #bar.plot() needs a datavector for the height of bars and a error #indicator for the interval #many of the usual R parameters can be set:

Eric, David, 2013/11/19 Timur Iskhodzhanov <timurrrr at google.com>: > Attached is a slightly updated patch. > (it doesn't include D2222 yet). The new version of the patch stopped fitting into the llvmdev 100K limit, so I've uploaded it to http://llvm-reviews.chandlerc.com/D2232 (you need to apply D2222 first if you'd like to give D2232 a try) > 2013/11/19 Eric

Data import R: some explanatory variables not showing up correctly in summary
Hi Tara, It seems that you categorise and count for each category. Could it be that the method you use puts everything that doesn't match the predefined categories in Other? I'm only guessing because without a minimal reproducible example it's difficult to do anything else. Best wishes Ulrik Rui Barradas <ruipbarradas at sapo.pt> schrieb am Do., 1. Juni 2017, 17:30: >

How to plot error bars

I have loaded the dataset successfully using the following code: Filepath=(C:\temp\\pilot\dataset1.txt") Pilot=read.table(filepath, header=TRUE) Dataset1.txt is delimited and looks like this: Date illness count 2006/01/01 derm 17 2006/01/01

[LLVMdev] [RFC PATCH 1/2] x86: Fix ModR/M byte output in 16-bit addressing mode
This attempts to address http://llvm.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=18220 It also fixes a test which was requiring the *wrong* output. I'm relatively happy with this part, and it even solves most of the hard part of feature request for .code16 in bug 8684 — which was actually why I started prodding at this. But I could do with some help with the 16-bit signed relocation handling, which I've

Newbie question: Linear regression with error bars.
Hello guys, I am a total newbie on R, having downloaded it, read the documentation and started playing with it right now. My general question is what 'lr' model can be used for doing a linear regression on points that have a variance associated with them (ie. Monte Carlo simulation results). Actually my Data sets look like: Timestep Energy Variance_of_the_Energy 0.0005 -14.876840
