Re: F6H500ukUNV working with fentonups driver
After trying the 'powermust' driver I can confirm it works well with the F6H500ukUNV ups from Belkin. I reported my tests but by accident posted them directly to Carlos and not the mailing list (sorry Carlos). Anyway brief summary of the powermust driver with the F6H500ukUNV; Detects Online state. Reports the Battery charge correctly. Detects On Battery State. Detects Low Battery State.

RE Fentonups driver - FreeBSD 6.x
Hi Stefanos, you should mail to the NUT list, and try the megatec driver, which is only available from subversion for the moment (but should be included in the next stable release). Carlos might give you some help with this driver. Square One QP1010
Hi guys, Please bare with me, as this is my first attempt at setting up a UPS under Linux. I've been trying to setup a UPS on one of my clients servers. The model of the UPS is a Square one QP1000/QP1010 1Kva I've looked on the following link http://eu1.networkupstools.org/compat/stable.html It says that it should be compatible with the "powermust" driver, then in my

New UPS protocol choice - Dynamix
Gidday all - I'm a new user to nut. I've got some cheap powerpal UPSs working fairly well. However I also have a new Dynamix UPS-1700D and an old Powercom KIN-1700 something unit that I cannot make work right. The best method I've found is "trial and error" which sounds a bit last-resort. Is there any better way to find out what protocol is used? -- Criggie

Fwd: RE New xanto driver for NUT
Dear Andreas, some googling revealed, you created a driver for the xanto series of online-usv.de. In what state it is currently? I've to manage a S2000 and would like to use nut for it, is it usable by now? Do you need another tester? TIA, Pete

Persisting the libvirt guest's reason code.
Hi, I am currently facing an issue with libvirt w.r.t a guest's state and reason code. Precisely following are steps: 1. I have a running guest named *linux-test *on KVM 2. I do a * $> virsh save linux-test linux-saved.dat* 3. At this point * $> virsh domstate --reason linux-test *shows *shutoff(saved)* 4. I restarted the libvirtd daemon * $>systemctl

fentonups driver patch for Effekta MHD3000 UPS
Hi ups-devel, As I looked throw www.networkupstools.org site, haven't found any pointers where to send patches, so I hope this is the right place. (Please let me know weather this is the right place.) The patch contains a minor change in the logic of the driver, our Effekta MHD 3000 UPS continuously writes status data to the serial port, so one has to send a CR character and empty the

Blockpull while domain is shutoff
Hi Libvirt, Is there a command that performs the same operation as blockpull while a domain is shutoff? I have a backing chain base <-- A <-- B that I would like to shorten to base <-- B It seems like blockpull B, setting --base <path-to-base> does this, but only when the domain is running. Thanks! New Mustek UPS model working
Hello, first of all I'd like to thank all the NUT developers for their gorgeous work and for their efforts to make NUT the best and most complete UPS management software I've ever seen (seriously). Secondarily I'd like to help the NUT project as far as my help is needed, I'm not a programmer (by now...) but I would like to help somehow anyway. I have 3 UPS from the same

Volume file permissions and huge volume downloads
Hi all: I am using the libvirt version that comes with Ubuntu 18.04.3 LTS. I want to backup a virtual machine in a foolproof way: - Gracefully shutdown the VM. - Backup the disk image. - Restart the VM. I wrote the following script to do that: https://github.com/rdiez/Tools/blob/master/VirtualMachineManager/BackupVm.sh Writing that script was difficult enough because of the virsh limitations

behaviour of "virsh shutdown domainName"
Hi all, I am experiencing some problems with different versions of libvirt (0.7.5 and 0.7.7), with a kvm (WinXP), host running Ubuntu 9.10, and i would like to ask you two questions: - In virsh, after running the command "shutdown domainName", what should be the final state of the domain, if the shutdown finishes correctly: "shutoff", "no-state",

Help with understanding and solving snapshot problem
Hello Fairly new to libvirt. I’m hoping to both solve a problem with this question as well as learn more detail about how libvirt works. Using RHEL 6.4 and libvirt version is 0.10.2 and qemu-img version is 0.12.1.2 Using virt-manager I created a VM. Nothing unusual as far as I can see. I then added a disk. So I have a second virtio based volume which the guest then mounts as a separate
