status of Java & rJava?
Hello, All: ????? Is Java being deprecated for R? ????? I ask, because I've been unable to get rJava 0.9-11 to work under either macOS 10.15 or Windows 10, and I can't get rJava 0.9-12 to install -- and my Ecfun package uses it:?? I can't get "R CMD build Ecfun" to work on my Mac nor "R CMD check Ecfun_0.2-4" under Windows.? Travis CI builds

Some xcode schemes not appearing now in Xcode after cmake install (??)
Hi all In order to get ready for the upcoming final 9.0 release code I have now switched to the 'release/9.x' branch that I pulled from github. Unfortunately, after running cmake in the usual way, I found that many xcode schemes are missing on the resulting project. Particularly, I added -DLLVM_ENABLE_PROJECTS=clang to the terminal command line. The logs correctly state that ‘clang

Compiling SAFECode poolalloc in cygwin create different libraries compared to linux.
Hi John, That worked for me. I am using llvm 3.2 only and following http://safecode.cs.illinois.edu/docs/Install.html So for I am able to make inside llvm/projects/poolalloc by doing such cosmetic changes. Now, when I tried to make inside llvm/projects/safecode, I see another error. kpawar at KPAWAR-LT ~/SAFECode/LLVM_SRC/llvm/projects/safecode $ /usr/bin/clang -cc1 -triple

fuzzer crash (but not the good kind)
Kostya, I think I've found what looks like a reproducible bug in libFuzzer. The code under test is built with ASan and the first ASan CHECK failure shows fuzzer in the stack trace. (see below) One of the factors that may be unique in my testing is that each iteration can take a very long time to execute (tens or hundreds of seconds). Let me know if you need more info, I think it

libfuzzer questions
First off, thanks -- this is a pretty great library and it feels like I'm learning a lot. I'm getting some more experience with libfuzzer and finding that I have a couple of questions: - How does libfuzzer decide to write a new test file? What distinguishes this one from all the other cases for which new test inputs were not written? Must be something about the path taken through the

fuzzer crash (but not the good kind)
Kostya, Here's the git repo: https://bitbucket.org/ebadf/fuzzpy I've only tested it on arm7 and x86_64 linux, I expect there's a good chance it may not work on other OSs. If you can build it successfully ("./build.sh", requires clang and clang++ in your path), then you should run the "testemail" case like so: while true; do ITERS=1000 ./run.sh

Ah, yes -- you need to clone with --recursive. I will try the workaround though. We're sorry, but something went wrong on Tomcat
I am using JRuby and I have to deploy on Tomcat. My web app is working fine in the dev envirmonment, with Mongel, but when I deploy on Tomcat I get "We''re sorry, but something went wrong on Tomcat". The problem is that production.log only shows: # Logfile created on Mon Oct 12 12:54:36 +0100 2009-bash-3.00 The file permission and directory are 777. Any idea how I can

tcltk image reading problem (on a mac?): [tcl] encountered an unsupported criticial chunk type "eXIf"
Hello everyone I am not sure when this appeared (sometime post R 3.5.0 and after I switched to Mac OS Catalina). I do not think it happens on all platforms (e.g. seems to work on windows). But it seems that tkimage.create() no longer works on a Mac for all png files. (It does work for *some* old png files I have on disk but I have not been able to determine what is different about the

tomcat still sees jvm version 1.4.2 in Cent OS 5
i chose to install tomcat during the OS install as well as java....however, since I needed to use a different jvm, i used the method described in http://wiki.centos.org/HowTos/JavaOnCentOS for Sun jdk 1.5.0_13 and it worked fine as I can tell, as using the alternatives --config java command, i see both 1.4.2 and 1.5.0 versions and choosing the 1.5.0 version yields the right version when doing a

[LLVMdev] Using git bisect with LLVM
Hello, git bisect helped me today in tracking down a regression in LLVM/Clang. Because LLVM/Clang code is split across multiple git repositories, there were a few obstacles to overcome prior to using git bisect. I thought I would share them here, in the hope that they're useful for others. The main difficulty was to check out the version of clang and compiler-rt that would compile with a

tcltk image reading problem (on a mac?): [tcl] encountered an unsupported criticial chunk type "eXIf"
I don't know what has changed with Catalina But I just tried my tk console from the shell command tkcon And got the following error. Here is my shell: $ tkcon dyld: Library not loaded: /usr/local/lib:/opt/X11/lib/libtk8.6.dylib Referenced from: /usr/local/bin/wish Reason: image not found Abort trap: 6 I don't know whether this is a red herring or not, but the

Anyone successfully ran JRuby 1.5.3, Rails 3, Tomcat6
Hi, I''ve been trying to get JRuby 1.5.3 with Rails 3 to run on the Tomcat6 server with little success. Has anyone been able to do this? If so, what issues did you have to overcome to get this to work? Also, is this a combination that you would recommend for a production site, or is it all too new and untested? The latest issue I''m stuck on right now is with the mysql-connector-

I''ve gotten an install of solr working, but it''s pretty much a hack job at the moment. If y''all could give me your thoughts on how to improve my setup, I''d appreciate it. apache-tomcat is an rpm of Tomcat 7 that references the oracle jdk instead of openjdk. Thanks. class solr { service { ''iptables'' : ensure =>

[LLVMdev] Linking to LLVM libs from new project
Hi all, I have a new sample project set up in my llvm/projects directory, and I'd eventually like my frontend to generate an LLVM IR tree. To do so, I believe I need to link to the appropriate LLVM libraries. That's where I'm stuck. I can't seem to find any specific documentation that describes how to set up a new project to link to LLVM libraries. To get started, I added a
