+1. And put it in the email (subject?). While it’s possible to derive a count from a hash manually, better to have it in the email in the first place. You can’t rely on order-of-email-delivery to reflect order-of-commit. --paulr From: llvm-dev <llvm-dev-bounces at lists.llvm.org> On Behalf Of Shoaib Meenai via llvm-dev Sent: Wednesday, October 16, 2019 1:42 AM To: tstellar at redhat.com;

GitHub Migration Schedule and Plans
Hi, We're less than 2 weeks away from the developer meeting, so I wanted to give an update on the GitHub migration and what's (hopefully) going to happen during the developer meeting. Everyone who has added their information to the github-usernames.txt file in SVN before today should have received an invite to become a collaborator on the llvm-project repository. If you did not receive

10.0.1-rc1 release has been tagged
Hi, I have just tagged the 10.0.1-rc1 release. Testers can begin testing and uploading binaries. If you still want to get a fix into the 10.0.1 release, you still have about a month to get your fix in. To request a patch be backported to the release/10.x branch, file a bug and mark it as a blocker of the release-10.0.1 meta bug. -Tom

Instructions for requesting GitHub commit access
Hi, I've created a text file[1] in the SVN repository that developers can update in order to request commit access to the GitHub repository. All you need to do is add a line in the form of $SVN_USERNAME:$GITHUB_USERNAME Please add your information to this file before SVN becomes readonly on October 21 to avoid a gap in commit access. More details can be found in the phabriactor review[2]

[GitHub] RFC: Enforcing no merge commit policy
Hi, I would like to follow up on the previous thread[1], where there was a consensus to disallow merge commits in the llvm github repository, and start a discussion about how we should enforce this policy. Unfortunately, GitHub does not provide a convenient way to fully enforce this policy. We can enforce it for pull requests, but not for direct pushes to the master branch, so we will have to
