I've managed to get 10.0.0 working now.. there were a couple things I had to adjust. The Kaleidoscope example had me doing this before creating the object file: llvm::InitializeAllTargetInfos(); llvm::InitializeAllTargets(); llvm::InitializeAllTargetMCs(); llvm::InitializeAllAsmParsers(); llvm::InitializeAllAsmPrinters(); It turns out I can get away with just this, since I'm not (yet)

Hi Timo: You need to find LLVMConfig.cmake in the binary or install directory tree, not the source tree. Sorry my example wasn't helpful. I did take a quick look at rust -- though I didn't download or try to build it -- and they seem to allow you to use an installed or prebuilt version in addition to building it in-tree. Extra space in LLVM_DEFINITIONS causes CMake 3.1 to fail
I made this change (not specifically changing from a list to a string, but changing from a hardcoded value to the value that was actually decided by cmake), and I checked that it works with cmake 2.8.12.2 which is the minimum version set in CMakeLists.txt. So if it doesn’t work with cmake 3.1/3.2 then that looks like something new that was introduced after 2.8.12.2. I’ll have a look at this

How to link against all available targets - problems with NVPTX?

Correctly linking against libLLVM (single shared library build)
Hi, In SUSE we have recently switched from building LLVM as multiple shared libraries (using BUILD_SHARED_LIBS) to building it as a single shared library (using LLVM_BUILD_LLVM_DYLIB). The multiple shared libraries build was causing issues and apparently it is only meant for LLVM developers. Our guidelines prohibit linking against static libraries unless there is no other option.
