register spilling and printing live variables
Hello,
I have studied register allocation in theoretical aspects and exploring the
same in the implementation level.
I need a minimal testcase for register spilling to analyze spilling
procedure in llvm. I tried with a testcase taking 20 variables but all the
20 variables are getting stored in the stack using %rbp. Maybe my live
variable analysis is wrong. Please help me with a minimal testcase

accessing stack frame after returning from the function
Hello,
I have a few general questions.
1. Whether the memory contents assigned for a function are accessible after
we return from that function? If yes, how can we access it?
2. Does llvm delete the stackframe assigned for a specific function, after
we return from that function?
3. If not, how can we delete the stackframe or clear the memory content
after we return from the function? Where do

error in building llvm with default options
Various options for reducing memory usage when building LLVM:
* Don't use bfd-ld, at least use gold, probably use lld if you have it
available
* With Ninja and/or CMake there's some way to specify the maximum number of
concurrent linkactions - lower this to fit in your available memory
* If you're building with debug info: Use Split DWARF

error in building llvm with default options
The last time this came up, we agreed something should be done to fix the
defaults, but nobody picked it up and ran with it. I think there was
consensus, it just needs legwork now.

[PATCH 2/2] Enhance MTRR/PAT virtualization for EPT & VT-d enabled both
The patch attached is to set effective memory type for EPT according to the VT-d snoop control capability, and also includes some cleansup for EPT & VT-d both enabled.

"compiler-rt" - DataFlowSanitizer
Hi all,
I have some questions about "DataFlowSanitizer" from "compiler-rt".
I want to know how I can test the "DataFlowSanitizer"?
Can I configure it to label only some values, i.e, the return values from specific functions?
Also, how can I print these labels?
Thanks,
Dareen

Sure - though how would I get the pre-dfsan .ll file to produce this
behavior? I've tried compiling to a .ll file without dfsan, then feeling

[LLVMdev] Debug Info and DFSan
Here's a basic patch which would solve it in sort of the same way as the
other optimizations I was fixing (just special case the debug info & fix it
up). I can work up a test case for this as well, or you can, if you
like/this seems reasonable.

Seeking suggestions about interfacing of LLVM DataFlowSanitizer library with KLEE in C code.
Dear Developers,
I am a Master's student at the ECE department of the University of Florida, USA. For my research project, supervised by Prof. Mark Tehranipoor<http://tehranipoor.ece.ufl.edu/> and Prof. Farimah Farahmandi<http://farimah.ece.ufl.edu/>, I need to use Clang LLVM DataflowSanitizer library in KLEE. However, I have faced some difficulties (explained below) while

Compromised servers, SSH keys, and replay attacks
We had an incident recently where an openssh client and server were
replaced with trojanned versions (it has SKYNET ASCII-art in the binary,
if anyone's seen it. Anyone seen the source code ?). The trojan ssh &
sshd both logged host/user/password, and probably had a login backdoor.
Someone asked me what was their exposure if they used public/private keys
instead of passwords.

[LLVMdev] DataFlowSanitizer only for Linux
Afternoon,
I had an issue with trying to link a program with the DataFlowSanitizer

LibFuzzer and platforms availability
Hi there.
I’m trying to use LibFuzzer on OSX and face some issues:
I checked out LibFuzzer documentation[1] and managed to proceed until the final step of the first example.
Now I see linker errors related to dfsan, dfsan’s documentation[2] states explicitly “DataFlowSanitizer is a work in progress, currently under development for x86_64 Linux.”.
Does it mean that LibFuzzer available only on

[LLVMdev] DataFlowSanitizer using wrong memory layout
Hi all,
Any one tried using DataFlowSanitizer on Linux x86_64?
I tried on:
3.13.0-44-generic #73~precise1-Ubuntu SMP Wed Dec 17 00:39:15 UTC 2014 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
It assumes wrong memory layout and remaps application code segment as shadow memory, thus causing SIGSEV (Segmentation fault).
Is this know? and fix under way?
-Thanks,
Aravind

Flash problem with RoR? missed something?
I have tried to put a flash movie inside of my RoR page and it shows up
with nothing on IEPC.
It does very well on every other type of browser but does not work with
IEPC.
I made a folder - "flash" in my public directory and have had the one
instance of it point there.
Thus my flash directory is www.rails-app.com/flash/flash.swf
Is there anything that anyone knows to help out?

using llvm DataFlowSanitizer error
Hi. I'm using llvm DataFlowSanitizer. I add such code in library libtiff.
dfsan_label lt_label = dfsan_create_label("buf_offset", 0);
dfsan_set_label(lt_label, (unsigned char *)buf, size);
But when i compile libtiff with "-fsanitize=dataflow" option, then there is an error as follows:
../libtiff/libtiff.so.5.2.5: undefined reference to `dfs$jbg_enc_init'
