Docs: Re-organizing the LLVM docs
Thanks everyone for your suggestions. The doc development phase of the
Season of Docs program starts next week. I'll be posting my proposed
changes via this mailing list in the next day or so.

Introduction and Question about Docs
Hi everyone. My name is DeForest Richards. I’m the technical writer who was
selected to work on the LLVM project as part of the Google Season of Docs
program. I’ll be helping to restructure the documentation page(s) to make
it easier for new and existing users to navigate the LLVM docs.
I’m currently reviewing the existing docs, so you’ll probably see me
posting questions over the next several

Docs: Setting up two-column layout on docs homepage
Quick update. I've decided to scratch the idea of using the raw directive
to add html to the docs homepage. I realized today that in order to
accomplish what I want (add two-column layout with links to individual
topics), I would have to use hyperlinks. That seems undesirable given that
it would make it easier to break the URL links if the LLVM docs site were
ever moved/updated.
I spent a few

Docs: Testing locally but still getting buildbot errors with my commits.
Last night, I triggered a buildbot error after my most recent commit. That
one was totally on me as the warning did pop up while generating the docs
site locally using the sphinx-build command (confirmed this afternoon).
I just checked in a commit to resolve the error but now it appears I've
triggered a different buildbot error? This error did not come up when I
built the site locally to test

I''m back
Hey all,
I''m back. Some of you are probably thinking that is the longest weeks
vacation on record. Well, I''d like to take this opportunity to
apologise for my absence and offer a brief explanation. When I got
back to Australia I naturally went home to visit my parents, only to
find that they have been hit really hard by the drought. They didn''t
really tell me just how

Google Season of Docs: Requesting feedback on LLVM docs site updates
Hey everyone,
I've made several updates to the LLVM docs site over the last few weeks.
I'd like to get some feedback before I make any additional changes. As of
right now, here are the updates I've made:
a.) Added a static sidebar with links to the docs, community pages, etc.
b.) Moved the Community/Getting Involved info to a separate page.
c.) Consolidate the docs into three

Docs - Structure Musings
IMHO, our big picture challenge is that multiple explanations for
several topics are spread out over several different docs and pages One
parameter is frequently discussed in four or more places (QSG, files
reference pages, file comments, main documentation, etc.) That gives
multiple perspectives, which can be good, but can also lead to at least
the appearance, especially to a beginner, of

Survival dummy variables and some questions
Hi All,
I am currently conducting some survival analyses. I would like to
extract coefficients at each level of the IVs.
I read on a previous posting that dummy regression using coxph was not
possible.
Therefore I though, hey why not categorize the variables
(I realize some folks object to categorization but the paper I am
replicating appears to have done so ...)
and turn the variables

Dovecot (unofficial) patches
Dear list,
As a recent dovecot addict, I'm a bit puzzled by the sheer amount of
patches available. I have not seen the history of these patches and I
could not find a README explainng the patches. Are all these personal
wishes/nice to have things or are they (to be) incorporated in
dovecot-final?
I use rpmbuild to create new rpms from the latest tarball but in that
process still several

categorized barplot
Dear useRs,
I can't seem to find out how to categorize my histogram.
I have the following dataset:
Time??????????? First.day? Second.day
08:00-10:00??????? 9?????????? ? 8
10:00-12:00?????? 13???????? ? 15
12:00-14:00??????? 9?????????? ? 9
14:00-16:00???????10????????? ? 9
I attached a jpeg file to this e-mail containing the sketches.
What I'd like to do is a barplot (or histogram),

NPMC
HI,
I am a new user of R and want to analyse some data using npmc. My data have
several levels of factor (Site, Year and Season) and several variable
(Percentages).
I have tried to use npmc but I always get an error message. My data are in a
table following this example:
Site YEar Season Var1 Var2 ....

Greater than less than in "ifelse"
I'm trying to categorize a continuous variable (yes, I know that's horrible, but I'm trying to reproduce some exercises from a textbook) and don't really know an efficient way to do this.
I have a data frame that looks like:
surv_time relapse sex log_WBC rx
1 35 0 1 1.45 0
2 34 0 1 1.47 0
3 32 0 1 2.20 0

Cochran-Mantel-Haenszel test
Hello,
I have some satellite tag time-at-depth (TAD) frequency data that I
would like some help with.
The data was transmitted via satellite as percent time spent in each of
7 depth bins (0m, 0-1m, 1-10m, 10-50m etc.), binned over 6-hour
intervals. I categorized each row of data corresponding to a date and
time into summer vs. winter, and day vs. night, and then summed and
averaged the given

LLVM Developers Meeting JIT BoF -- Request for Topics of Interest

truncating values into separate categories
Hi all,
Simple question which i thought i had the answer but it isnt so simple for
some reason. I am sure someone can easily help. I would like to categorize
the values in NP into 1 of the five values in "Per", with the last
category("4") representing values >=4(hence 4:max(NP)). The problem is that
R is reading max(NP) as multiple values instead of range so the

conducting GAM-GEE within gamm4?
Dear R-help users,
I am trying to analyze some visual transect data of organisms to generate a
habitat distribution model. Once organisms are sighted, they are followed
as point data is collected at a given time interval. Because of the
autocorrelation among these "follows," I wish to utilize a GAM-GEE approach
similar to that of Pirotta et al. 2011, using packages 'yags' and
