Trouble Configuring NUT with Gamatronic USB
Hi
I am running FC5 with nut coming from the fc5 extras repositories. I
am trying to configure a Gamatronic D-Compact ups. The cable that came
with the ups has a serial connector on one end and a usb on the other.
cat /proc/bus/usb/devices produces

Hello list,

using nut to monitor SNMP UPS unit
Hi all,
I've been trying to build NUT (latest release source) on a pretty "standard"
CentOS (RHEL style) linux box, to monitor an APC Symmetra UPS Unit which
powers our server room and broadcasts information via SNMP to appropriate
clients.
I am having some trouble even encouraging NUT to build with snmp support,
which doesn't seem to happen by default.
I am curious if anyone

Updated to 2.6.5, previously-working APC SmartUPS now fails completely
(Note that I mentioned this *was* previously working with an older version
of Nut).
[irs2-ups1]
driver = snmp-ups
port = irs2-ups1.sum.naoj.org
mibs = auto
community = private
irs2-ups1.sum.naoj.org responds to pings.

Patch for optiups to support Zinto D from ONLINE USV-Systeme AG
Hi Arnaud,
Hi Scott,
Hi list,
Here is a patch to support the Zinto D from ONLINE USV-Systeme AG.
I already sent a version to Russell Kroll (2006-04-09), without no response
and I cannot find support for Zinto in svn until now.
I found a discussion on this list about the Xanto from ONLINE, but the Zinto
seems to use different commands.
The commands are quite similar to those for Opti-UPS, so I

Online-UPS Xanto support status?
Hello there. I use Online Xanto ups'es so I did some googling for
their support in nut. Turns out that...
- networkupstools.org talks about an 'optiups' driver in the
development version (http://www.networkupstools.org/compat/dev.html -
by the way, the web page says 'stable' in the title and headings just
like the actual stable one)
- Andreas Thienemann seems to have a

[PATCH] Add OptiUPS VS 575C support to PowerCom
Heya,
after I bought an OptiUPS VS 575C and discovering it won't work with
Linux (silly me) I sniffed the protocol, found out it's very similiar
to the protocol in the powercom driver, so I ended up adding support
for that UPS to that driver.
The patch is against the current git HEAD and works fine for me since
weeks now. The shutdown sequence also works fine (on Archlinux).

Patch -- SVN revision in the version string
This is the patch to include SVN revision level in version number displays.
There should be two enclosures; the patch itself and a new source file.
common/upsversion.c.
upversion.c defines a single function. upsversion(), that returns a version
string for display. Some Makefile trickery ensures that this file will
be recompiled whenever the project's SVN revision level has changed since

[EXTERNAL] SNMP shutdown timing out
Is NUT using the same SNMP v3 user as your SNMP Set or a different one?
If it is a different one (e.g. an SNMP v1 or v2c string) does that user / community string have read/write access?
tcpdump to listen for packets across UDP 161 is one way to check what is actually being sent.
Thank you,
David Zomaya

snmp ups Status: Not supported
Hi
I set up my ups with driver snmp-ups, and it get recognized as a AEC T2003.
In the nut-cgi upstats page input/output/load are displayed corectly, but the
Status field is marked as "Not supported".
Is "Status" important to initiate shutdown in case of low battery ? Will my
server shut down correctly ?
thanks
Massimo
I include "upsc snmp@localhost" output:

Nut-upsdev Digest, Vol 206, Issue 5
It seems the `libmodbus` library or headers were not found, or something
similar - so the driver against it was not built. Did you install
`libmodbus-dev` before the build? What does `config.log` in the build root
say (and.or the summary shown after you run the `configure` script)?

Hello there,
I don't think that's working,?
I have done all your repo but i don't know how it's supposed to work.
I have a idea, change vendor id and product id? to make the driver try
to connect to the ups, what do you think of that ? With this driver
maybe : usbhid-ups
