How to revert a change properly
The "Revert [tag] message" is the default message generated by the 'git revert' command. Of course you would have to be using a git clone of LLVM instead of an SVN checkout in order to run 'git revert'. This command is the equivalent of 'svn merge –r' run from the top-level directory. I have done the AST parsing, however, when I introduce these 'llvm/IR/*'
headers, I got a compiling error... But if I delete these headers it runs
well ...
"""headers

#include "llvm/IR/Constants.h"

How to write an 'expected failure test'
Hi devs,
I want to write a test that expected to fail. And I want to check the error
message. But I found that if the command exit code is not 0, then the test
will fail. Also, if I add `XFAIL: *`, it will not check the command line
output ... Can someone help me?
Best Regards,
Xing

Is bugzilla down?
Hi folks,
It seems that bugzilla is encountering some problems right now. When I
click specific bug reports, it shows "undef error - DBD::mysql::st
execute failed: Got error 28 from storage engine", e.g.

[GSoC18] About LLVM Projects
Dear LLVM Team:
My name is Guo Xing, a student who are in his third year of college.
GSoC2018 is coming, and I want to do some contribution for llvm community.
However, the open projects page is for GSoC2017, and some projects like Shell
auto-completion support for clang
<http://llvm.org/OpenProjects.html#clang-shell-autocompletion-support> have
been done. Is there any ideas? What if

Formalize "revert for more design review" policy.
Recently there's been some friction over reversions (I can remember two
cases in recent memory). In both issues the general feel I got is that as a
community we should honor "revert for more design review" requests
unconditionally.
What do you guys think of adding something like this to DeveloperPolicy.rst
as an item at the end of the numbered list in

[PATCH] Revert "virtio_console: Initialize guest_connected=true for rproc_serial"
From: Sjur Br?ndeland <sjur.brandeland at stericsson.com>
This reverts commit 8078db789a92b10ff6e2d713231b5367e014c53b.
The reverted patch caused opening of ports to fail for rproc_serial.
In probe guest_connected was set to true, but port_fops_open()
fails with -EMFILE if guest_connected already is true.
