UPSSched UPSNAME env variable
Hi everybody,
i'm trying to use the UPSNAME environment variable within the script
launched by upssched, and although it is correctly written and thus read by
my script, it doesn't get updated when multiple UPSes are configured.
To be more precise i'm monitoring 2 UPSes and using AT *EVENT* * *OPERATION*
*handle *to manage events in upssched.conf.
Am i wrong somewhere?

Conditionnal shutdown
Hello,
Being new to this list and to Nut, maybe my question has been asked
before but I didn't find a clear answer.
My question is : is it possible to make nut aware of the percentage (or
duration) of time before the UPS exhausts its power ? Thus making Nut
conditionning the shutdown of the servers depending on the remaining
load.
I saw this thread on the mailing list :

Shutdown when both (all) UPS on battery / low battery

My mistake - I gave you the wrong advice before. For MINSUPPLIES, I'm used to either a 1:1 UPS-to-server ratio, or 2:1 where the server can run with either power supply unpowered.
I just tried this in upsmon.conf:

Joe,
Roger has a good point - the SHUTDOWNCMD should work as long as the master system

System keeps going into FSD mode after power on
Hello,
I am a new user of NUT and trying to wrap my ahead around a couple of
things. I installed NUT 2.7.4-13 from package on RasPi 4, running Raspbian
Linux 11 (bullseye). I have Cyberpower SL700U connected to it. For testing
I set battery.charge.low to 90, so I wouldn't have to wait a long time. See
all relevant config below.
First of all, what seems to happen is that UPS gets to the low

Maybe this will make it to the FAQ :-)
Hi Arjen,
I've just read the FAQ and got to the question: "Q: How can I make upsmon
shut down my system after some fixed interval?" Well it looked like the
question was there for me. :-)
You say:
Ask yourself this: why buy a nice big UPS with the matching battery and
corresponding runtime and then shutdown early? If anything, I'd rather have
a few more minutes running on

Regular expressions in upssched.conf?
Hi,
I didn't found an answer for my question in NUT documentation/FAQ or
this mailing list archive so I?m posting it here.
I want to start a timer only if both of my UPSes remain on battery. Not
just one, both.
My UPSes are:
- ups1@host-a
- ups2@host-b
Is it possible to use something like this in upssched.conf?
AT ONBATT ups1.* && ups2.* START-TIMER onbattwarn 180
Thanks,

What do your configuration files look like? Setting MINSUPPLIES to 2 should work. You can run upsmon with a debug level of 3 or greater, and it will print the current and minimum "power value", which is what determines

TrippLite AVR550U start on power
I have a TrippLite AVR550U that my company uses several individual Linux
boxes in one large system, all running Ubuntu 18.04LTS, and all will be
using the package version of nut - 2.7.4. In my scenario, our usage case
is for the PCs to all shut down, followed by the individual UPSes, when
mains power is removed from the whole system. (This isn't a typical setup
for UPS, but it's what

sequence of events / timing upssched/master/slave etc
Dear List,
I am a bit uncertain about some aspects of NUT and have not been able to
find the desired info in the documentation.
We have a server monitoring the network and it is also running the
ups/nut-daemon. Together with some other important servers (all Linux)
it is logical to make these monitor the UPS as 'master'. While other
servers (mostly windows running winnut, some linux)

UPS Socomec is unavailable appears in the logs
Hello,
we have two UPSes - one Galaxy and one from Socomec, both monitored by the NUT server.
The NUT server runs the version 2.7.2.
We have roughly 3500 clients running upsmon, reading the status of both
UPSes. They run mainly the version 2.6.4 and some 2.7.2.
We observed the following on both client versions, regardless whether
we run upsmon in the daemon or debug mode:
Running

new variable
Dear Arnaud,
Now I started to write a driver that simulates continous power breaks.
(E.g. in every 30 minutes.)
This could be used for testing of setup of client upsmons.
I have to simulate a behaviour of a real UPS. The physical model
contains an extra attribute: the charging current that needed to compute
recharge time and actual battery charge during the recharge process.
Can we call this
