LLJVM make error
Hi fellow devs, I was looking for converting LLVM IR to JavaBytecode by using lljvm project of https://github.com/davidar/lljvm They don't seem to compile, once i run *make* in the root directory it give me the error : cd include && make all make[1]: Entering directory `/home/rtiwari1/llvm_new/lljvm/include' make[1]: Nothing to be done for `all'. make[1]: Leaving

LLJVM make error
That source file was removed from LLVM in r232397 on March 16, 2015. It looks like lljvm hasn't been updated in a long time. LLVM's C++ APIs are not stable, so there is no expectation that a project built against LLVM's C++ API in 2015 would build or reasonably function against LLVM trunk. The project probably works against LLVM 3.6.2 which was (I believe) the last LLVM release to

ObjectCache and getFunctionAddress issue
Hi all, I'm trying to add pre-compiled object cache to my run-time. I've implemented the object cache as follow: class EngineObjectCache : public llvm::ObjectCache { private: std::unordered_map<std::string, std::unique_ptr<llvm::MemoryBuffer>> CachedObjs; public: virtual void notifyObjectCompiled(const llvm::Module *M, llvm::MemoryBufferRef Obj) { auto id =

[LLVMdev] Status of http://llvm.org/doxygen
Hi, I found that http://llvm.org/doxygen seems to be out-of-date. The footer shows that the files are regenerated everyday. I guess that the input repository for doxygen has not been updated for a while. For example, http://llvm.org/doxygen/namespacellvm.html#adeb6bbe8b1bed333ee7608e1939153c0 It says llvm::ParseBitcodeFile() has following prototype: Module *ParseBitcodeFile(MemoryBuffer

[LLVMdev] load bytecode from string for jiting problem
Hello Willy, Here is the dump from one of my bitcode files: 0000000 42 43 c0 de 21 0c 00 00 25 05 00 00 0b 82 20 00 As expected, 0x42 (= B), 0x43 (= C), xc0 and 0xde are in correct order. In your case, the first byte is read as 37 (= 0x25). I wonder why? When you check the bytes yourself, you get expected results. When the same bytes are read from Stream object, you get a different result (maybe

PATypeHolder, refineAbstractTypeTo(), addTypeName not found
I am following the code of the project https://llvm.org/svn/llvm-project/java/trunk/lib/Compiler/Resolver.cpp, But some class/function of it is not present in my source code due to replacement of this function in newer llvm verion. Can someone please suggest me the alternative approach of these function in latest llvm version. Here are those classes and functions : 1) PATypeHolder 2)

[LLVMdev] load bytecode from string for jiting problem
I mad the change, and still have the problem. I investigate more the source code of llvm. First, I change isRawBitcode function to print the content of the parameter like this: original: http://llvm.org/docs/doxygen/html/ReaderWriter_8h_source.html#l00081 inline bool isRawBitcode(const unsigned char *BufPtr, const unsigned char *BufEnd) { // These bytes sort

[LLVMdev] load bytecode from string for jiting problem
Hello, I having a weird problem while writing a bytecode module to a string, and after read/parse it for unsing on a jit. I write a pass to export function to module, and put this module inside a global variable. I use WriteBitcodeToFile for this. For debuging, after this write, I try to load the exported module with parseBitcodeFile. This two step works. After, while the compiled program is

Using VMKit to convert Java Bytecode to LLVM IR
Hi, I wanted to use VMKit project to convert Java Bytecode to LLVM IR bitcode. But I do not know how to start, since I came to know that VMkit is written for llvm -3.3 version, but I want it for latest LLVM version 6.0.1. So, could you please suggest me, whether I have to write it whole project from scratch to meet my requirement of latest llvm version, or can use existing project by building

[LLVMdev] ErrorOr<> conflicts with unique_ptr<>
Michael, In lld, we have places that used nested a ErrorOr<std::unique_ptr<xx>> and I often hit compiler errors that require breaking up expressions to work around. Do you have suggestions on how to code the following simple examples to not error? Can some of these be fixed in ErrorOr.h? Or am I totally not getting something? -Nick struct Foo { void doit(); };

How to source files from a search path?
Suppose some environment variable (say MY_R_INC) has a number of paths. I want to source some file relative to some path in $MY_R_INC (just as #include in C++ does, which looks for header file in a number of directories). I RSiteSearch'ed, but I don't find any function that satisfies my need. Could somebody let me know if I overlooked something?

[LLVMdev] lld fails to build on Visual Studio 2013
Hey there, lld fails to build on Visual Studio 2013 because of ErrorOr<void>. For example, ErrorOr<void> is used in InputGraph.h as the return type of InputGraph::reset. Inside of ErrorOr, there is: typedef typename remove_reference<T>::type &reference As T is void, and remove_reference <T>::type results in void, the typedef expands to: typedef void & reference,

OpaqueType:: get()
I have code that uses OpaqueType::get(), it was used to be in llvm/IR/DerivedType.h , but it is removed now. What should I use for it replacement. Also, it is using #include <llvm/Bytecode/WriteBytecodePass.h> , but I do not found any WriteBytecodePass.h in my source code. Please tell me, what should I use in replacement of these.
