MGE Pulsar EX1500 RT comms problem
Hi, I have the above UPS connected to a FreeBSD 6.2 box and it shows 'data stale' very frequently (every few minutes). I have tried the usual trick of setting maxage, poll interval, etc etc but to no avail. When I wind up logging I see (on mge-shut) entering shut_get_report(id: 0d, len: 1800) shut_wait_ack(): ACK received entering shut_get_report(id: 16, len: 1800) shut_wait_ack():

MGE Nova 1100 AVR + upssched
Hi, I'm having problems to configure upssched in order to notify me only when the disconnection exceeds the 30 seconds. Now, I'm getting a mail if it is disconnected just for a second, or even worse, when I got low tension. So, mail notifications are well configured, I guess... I think the problem is in upssched. I'm new to this, so it could be a stupid thing that I'm missing...

FreeBSD 6.1, MGE Ellipse ASR600USBS, newhidups & upsd
Hello, I'm facing problems as I'm installing NUT to monitor a MGE Ellipse ASR600USBS on a FreeBSD 6.1 box. UPS is recognized as : ugen0: MGE UPS SYSTEMS ELLIPSE, rev 1.10/42.41, addr 2 I'm temporarily using root profile (devfs/devd scripts not modified atm). newhidups starts & runs fine (unplugging mains makes newhidups outputs lots of data when started with -DDDD flags)

newhidups failing with Nova 1100 on FC5
I have been testing out my new MGE Nova 1100 on a system (dual Athlon) running Fedora Core 5 and the newhidups driver seems to be regularly dying. The UPS is the USB model, I have nut-2.0.3-0.1.fc5 and nut-cgi-2.0.3-0.1.fc5 installed. I am running a 2.6.16 kernel. (I haven't upgraded to FC5's 2.6.17 kernel yet as there seem to be some complaints about it.) The driver initially works.

RE: Nut-upsuser Digest, Vol 11, Issue 3
Hi Vladimir, I have got 2.0.3 working on netBSD 3.0. To get it operational I needed to do the following (most of this is from memory...). 1). Recompile kernel with uhid removed. If uhid ataches to the device then libusb is not able to. Have to allow generic usb driver ugen to claim port. >From dmesg usb0 at uhci0: USB revision 1.0 uhub0 at usb0 uhub0: VIA Technologies UHCI root hub, class

upsc "Error: ... Can't assign requested address"
Hello there. I've just install nut 2.2 from source on my FreeBSD box. I have an MGE AVR 600 UPS on a USB cable. Following the INSTALL instructions, everything works in term of the USB driver detecting the right UPS and upsd loads up and runs without error. However, upsc reports the following error: # upsc mge600 at localhost Error: Connection failure:Can't assign requested address

MGE Ellipse 800 USBS doesn't shutdown under FreeBSD
Hi all, First of all thanks for the great work on nut ! (despite it's not fully functional yet overhere). Everything seemed to go fine until the final test : shutdown the UPS ! The system is running FreeBSD 5.3, the UPS is MGE Ellipse 800 USBS both linked with the MGE serial cable. The system is a remote server, only running some file services and large disks. The porting,

Negative values for ups.delay.shutdown and ups.delay.start
I was testing my new MGE Nova 1100 and I am seeing negative numbers for ups.delay.start and ups.delay.shutdown which seems odd, but also seems to be expected according to examples I have found for MGE Systems. Can someone explain or point me to an explanation of what those numbers mean? The short descriptions don't appear to be compatible with negative numbers.
