6.0.1-rc1 has been tagged
Will the PR's marked as blockers of PR36649 be merged in or do we need to
do something specific?

3.9.1-rc3 has been tagged
Hi,
I have tagged 3.9.1-rc3. The only differences from -rc2 were a few
bug fixes for ARM/AARCH64, so if you aren't testing either of these
I think it's safe to take this -rc off and what for -final.
I'm hoping to do -final next week after I get the ARM test results.
Thanks,
Tom

[8.0.0 Release] rc3 has been tagged
Dear testers,
8.0.0-rc3 was just tagged from the release_80 branch at r355015.
We're running a little behind schedule now, but I think we're also
close to be able to call this done.
Please take a close look at this release candidate. Unless anything
bad comes up, this is probably very similar to what the final release
will look like.
Testers, please run the test script, share your

[LLVMdev] [3.6 Release] RC3 has been tagged
Hello testers,
Start your engines, RC3 has just been tagged (at r229050 on the
branch). If this one looks good, it will become the release.
There has been quite a bit of activity on the branch since RC2; let's
hope it's all goodness :-)
Please let me know how it looks, and upload binaries to the sftp as usual.
Thanks for all your efforts so far!

LLVM Release Schedules: 5.0.2, 6.0.1
Hi,
We don't normally do X.Y.2 releases, but there has been some interest in
getting a 5.0.2 release out with the Spectre mitigations included, so I
am proposing the following schedule for a 5.0.2 release:
LLVM 5.0.2
-rc1 Mon Mar 19
-final Mon Mar 26
To keep things easy for testers, 5.0.2 will be for Spectre related fixes only
and won't be opened up for general bugs.
And here is

[3.7 Release] RC3 has been tagged, let's wrap this up
Hello everyone,
3.7-rc3 has just been tagged. Testers, please test, build binaries,
upload to the sftp and report results to this thread.
Again, a lot of patches got merged between rc2 and rc3, but hopefully
nothing that should upset things.
One thing that did change is that the release script now correctly
symlinks clang-tools-extra into the build. If this causes problems on
your platform,

[7.0.0 Release] rc3 has been tagged
Dear testers,
7.0.0-rc3 was just tagged (from branch revision r341805).
No further release candidates are currently planned, so this is a
release candidate in the real sense: unless any serious issues
surface, this is what the final release will look like.
Please run the test script, share your results and upload binaries.
Please also take a look at the release notes and other docs; small

[3.8 Release] RC3 has been tagged
Dear testers,
Release Candidate 3 has just been tagged [1]. Please build, test, and
upload to the sftp.
If there are no regressions from previous release candidates, this
will be the last release candidate before the final release.
Release notes can still go into the branch.
Thanks again for all your work!

Hi,
I've just tagged the 4.0.1 -rc1 release. Testers can start testing and uploading
the binaries. If you still have bug fixes you want to get into the
4.0.1 release, you have until May 22 to submit merge requests.

[3.7 Release] RC3 has been tagged, let's wrap this up
It seems this is a cmake vs autoconf thing. With cmake, it builds
correctly, but with autoconf I get the same error as you.
I probably shouldn't have made this change while we were in the
release process as it was potentially risky :-/ I've reverted it now,
so hopefully the next build should be problem free.
Thanks,
Hans

Hi Dmitry, if I understood Hans clang-extra wasn't part of the build prior
to rc3. Just delete it and run script with --no-checkout.
