Has anyone tried VMware Server 1.2 under CentOS 5?

This is not too Important but Places > Connect to Server > Windows Share Doesn't work for me also Places > Network Servers > Windows Network doesn't work for me either. Samba, Mapping Windows Shares and Print Sharing work fine. Just curious, Thanks

I need to install the kernel development package for CentOS 5, I saw the RPMs on the DVD but didn't see an option at installation time like 4.4. I only need it to install VMware Server 1.02, any help will be appreciated. Thank you.

I have a small annoying problem with Ati video driver, when Centos 5.1 starts and gets to the login screen the resolution is too high for my monitor (better than out of range) and it's annoying can I have it start in a lower resolution. Thanks...

To all.. I was using a Gigabyte motherboard, and the board seems like a bad choice. What do you guys recommend for a decent server board that would use a Dual Core processor and DDR2 ram. I dont want to replace the CPU and Mem i already have, just find a decent board that supportsthe existing.. Hi all, I'm try to use the firmware software of the Photosmart S20 scanner. The software by it self work fine , but it can't make the connection to the scanner. Is there a way with wine.conf or other to give to the software the right way to find the scanner? If you can help, please do, it make my day brighter!

In need of a new printer, having done a bit or research, and considering either the Canon PIXMA mg5420 or the HP Photo Smart 7520. There are Linux drivers for the Photosmart which are supposed to handle both the printer and the scanner. But in my research I haven't found (yet) anyone who's gotten the scanner to work with Linux on the Photosmart, let alone the sheet feeder for it.

I have an HP Photosmart 3210 All-in-One color printer. Printing works great, but I cannot get xsane to locate it on the local subnet. I've been to the sane site and looked at the backends. The HP 3210 is supported by hpio and there is a note that hpio is no longer needed because the functionality has been rolled int hplip. yum shows hplip is installed: hplip.x86_64 1.6.7-4.1.el5.4

My home network doesn't have any wireless access points (to slow) and I was iSCSI booting my wkst for a while:) Now I need to setup a printer so I was going to get an HP Photosmart C4580. The HPLIP page shows no network support:( I _was_ going to use a USB wireless nic I have and setup an ad-hoc to print to this thing. Anyone know anything that might make this work? Thanks! jlc
