newhidups output for Geek Squad GS1285U
This took a long time because I had problems with my system. After I reloaded my operating system several times I found I had a bad memory module. Here is the output from newhidups for my Geek Squad GS1285U. It just kept repeating until I hit ctl-z. I think that this means nut will work for this ups. My computer is not powered by the ups yet. I did not want it to be powered down by accident.

Device not found--newhidups, FreeBSD 4.10, CyperPower 685AVR
I've been using nut with a serial device for a while, but today I tried hooking up this new CyberPower 685 unit via newhidups--since it seemed better supported over USB than serial, based on reading the list archives and cvs logs. Unfortunately, I can't connect to it. My system sees the device: uhid1: CPS UPS BF700, rev 1.10/0.01, addr 2, iclass 3/0 ... and I have chmodded all

[HCL] CyberPower Cyber Power Systems CP685AVR supported by usbhid-ups
It looks like the CyberPower Cyber Power Systems CP685AVR supported by usbhid-ups has a favorable device dump linked to the Devices Dumps Library page here: http://networkupstools.org/ddl/Cyber_Power_Systems/CP685AVR.html However, it is not listed anywhere on the Hardware Compatibility List (HCL) page here: http://networkupstools.org/stable-hcl.html This appears to be an omission on the HCL

Help with newhidups subdriver for Dynex UPS
Hello everyone! If this message was posted twice, my apologies. I'm having issues with my webmail today... I am using the testing version of NUT from SVN at changeset 582. I have successfully created a stub for newhidups driver for my Dynex DX-800U UPS, but I am completely lost on the customization of it. I've followed the hid-subdrivers.txt instructions and I understand I need to

newhidups with APC Smart-UPS 1500
Hello, I'm using the stable amd64 port of Debian Linux. I installed (the latest) nut-2.0.1-4 and nut-usb packages for utilizing an APC Smart-UPS 1500 USB. I tried "apcupsd" first but "nut" makes an even more sophisticated impression on me and has more security options. I had problems with the newhidups driver. It didn't find a device with matching VendorID. And

[PATCH][RFC] OpenUPS driver
Hi all, I attached a driver for MiniBox openUPS device ( http://www.mini-box.com/OpenUPS) and a dump of the hid usages. I had the possibility to make a few adjustments to the device firmware for HID usages, and although I haven't managed to produce a good structure many issues from previous firmware were at least fixed and new information added. ATM the driver only shows pertaining

Cyberpower Value1200E might not need 0.667 battery scaling
I just got a Cyberpower SOHO Value 1200 ELCD UPS and even with nut 2.7.2, it appears to report battery voltage too low due to the battery scaling function (In drivers/cps-hid.c). Even though the ups has usb id: 0764:0501, UPS.PowerSummary.Voltage reports 26.6 for the 24V batteries so when the 0.667 battery scale is applied that goes down to 17.7V. upsc output: battery.charge: 100

newhidups with APC Smart-UPS 1500
I tested your fix (newhidups -DDD /dev/null) using both and APC Back-UPS 350 an APC Smart-UPS RT 2000 XL. No more segmentation fault due to the fixed-size array. ~Jacob -----Original Message----- From: nut-upsdev-bounces@lists.alioth.debian.org [mailto:nut-upsdev-bounces@lists.alioth.debian.org] On Behalf Of Peter Selinger Sent: Monday, October 16, 2006 12:12 PM To: Schmier, Jacob Cc: NUT

CyberPower BR850ELCD ignores offdelay and turns itself back on while still on battery
Hi there, I just purchased a CyberPower BR850ELCD and while setting NUT up with the install instructions from the homepage was pretty straightforward, and the UPS was detected by the usbhid-ups driver, I'm having problems getting the UPS to work properly. First issue: whatever I set as the offdelay, seems to be ignored and the UPS just cuts the power about 2sec after receiving the

tripp lite smart2200RMXL2U error reading protocol
I'm working on a gentoo server with Nut 2.0.5-r1 and libusb-0.1.12. I originally tried the hidups driver which seemed to work, but produced a large amount of unhandled events. Then I tried the newhidups which told me my ups wasn't supported. When I try using tripplite_usb -u root -DDDD /proc/bus/usb/002/002 I get that there isn't a match. But when I try using tripplite_usb -DDDD

Hi Peter, I got all your patches and applied them, and I wanted to say kudos for a great job done. This is the output of upsc that I'm getting right now. I had the same issue when using any cvs version (from two weeks ago) that made my UPS go into a state where it wasn't functioning normally (checking the kernel log shows that it cannot be connected and I had around a page of DEVFS_USB

Newhidups gets unbound after a while
Hi everybody, If we let the feature running, it appears that the driver gets unbound after a while ( variable from quarter of hour to 6 hours ) and cannot reconnect. This behavior appear with both MGE Ellipse ASR and non-ASR models with connection to an UHCI and OHCI controllers. The USB core is from 2.4.28 kernel. We use nut-2.0.3. Start, powerfail and recovery detections, UPS shutdown work
