Updating LLVM Publications Page
Dear All, To update the publications page, do I still modify pubs.js within the Subversion repository? I've added three new papers using LLVM to the publications page in Subversion, but the web page hasn't automatically updated yet. Any help would be appreciated as I'd like to get more LLVM-related publications listed on the page. Thanks in advance, John Criswell -- John

Publication : CERE LLVM Based Codelet Extractor and REplayer
Hello, We have published two papers which build upon the LLVM Compiler Infrastructure. Would it be possible to include them in the LLVM related publications at http://llvm.org/pubs/ ? I attach below the bibliographic references: "CERE: LLVM Based Codelet Extractor and REplayer for Piecewise Benchmarking and Optimization" P. de Oliveira Castro, C. Akel, E. Petit, M. Popov, and W.

Also I would like to know the open projects

Publication LLVM Related Publications Submission
Hello, I would like to submit two papers that use LLVM to the Related Publications section. Both papers focus on code isolation applied to perform piecewise compiler optimizations. The code isolation process is performed by CERE, an open source tool based on LLVM. The second paper is an extended version of the first one. 1) Piecewise Holistic Autotuning of Compiler and Runtime Parameters

[LLVMdev] llvm DSA - reproduce the result in PLDI 07 paper
Dear all, I am trying to reproduce the "Percent May Alias" result described in PLDI 07's paper "Making Context-Sensitive Points-to Analysis with Heap Cloning Practical For The Real World" (http://llvm.org/pubs/2007-06-10-PLDI-DSA.html ). However, my "Percent May Alias" for all the benchmarks is much greater, especially "bzip2". The DSA code I use is

[LLVMdev] Autotuning parameters/heuristics within LLVM
Hi, I am planning to begin a project to explore the space of tuning LLVM internals in an effort to increase performance. I am wondering if anyone can point to me any parameterizations, heuristics, or priorities functions within LLVM that can be tuned/adjusted. So far, I'm considering BranchProbabilityInfo and InlineCost. Does anyone have any other suggestions? Thanks, Robert

[LLVMdev] llvm 2.1 announcement draft
Hi All, Here is my current draft of the LLVM 2.1 release announcement. Unlike previous announcements, I'm not planning to largely duplicate the release notes in the announcement. In addition to this, I've checked in the first draft of the release notes into llvm/docs/ReleaseNotes.html (http://llvm.org/docs/ ReleaseNotes.html). I'd really appreciate it if anyone who

LLVM IR from static/dynamic libraries
Hi All, Is this possible to generate LLVM IR from any static/dynamic link library? I have some static and dynamic link library and I want to generate LLVM IR as I want to obfuscate these libraries. Is there any way to do the same. Please give me some pointers on this. Thanks, Deep -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... URL:

[LLVMdev] llvm DSA - reproduce the result in PLDI 07 paper
Dear John, I intend to implement the improvements on DSA. After running DSA on SPEC, I found DSA gives low precision for mcf and bzip2. I have checked the most imprecise c files in mcf an found that the code seems to be a mixture of "PHI" and "GEP" instructions. Could you please give me some hints about what the big picture of the improvement should be and how to start? Thank

Publication: "Fast and Precise Symbolic Analysis of Concurrency Bugs in Device Drivers"
Hi, We recently published another paper that leverages LLVM (through our SMACK software verifier and novel tool called Whoop), and this time we focus on detecting concurrency bugs in device drivers: http://soarlab.org/2015/08/ase2015-ddr/ You can find all the required info (PDF, title, abstract, etc.) at the above webpage. I would appreciate if you could add this paper to your list of

[LLVMdev] Implementing if-conversion as a GSoC 2015 project?
OK, Let me describe. There is nothing wrong with if-conversion in LLVM. The algorithm implemented in LLVM can handle the if(???){do something} and if(???){do something}else{do something else} case very well. But it can handle complicated case like when there are a lot of gotos in the program. The more systematic way to do if-conversion is based on Hyperblock [Scott A. Mahlke et al 1992]

[LLVMdev] [GSoC] Applying for GSoC 2015
Hello Daniel, Thank you for your comments and sorry for my mistakes, I'll revise them. And I'll for sure read the paper you mentioned and survey the recent researches before deciding the implementation technique. To George: May I know the exact plan of your attempt for making cfl-aa interprocedural? I do think that this is the most valuable part of my proposal, but that makes no sense to
