Help wanted: Overloading an Intinsic
Hi David, The error shows that the clang source code uses this intrinsic as well, but in the old form. You need to modify the clang source code (where this intrinsic is used) to consider the overloaded operands. The assert would show the trace where clang uses this intrinsic. Hope this helps, Anna > On Jul 26, 2016, at 3:21 PM, David Noursi via llvm-dev <llvm-dev at lists.llvm.org>

[LLVMdev] Fwd: Re: [PATCH] [TABLEGEN] Do not crash on intrinsics with names longer than 40 characters
Hi Manuel, Here's another commit authored through the web interface where no discussion or reviewership information is apparent on the mailing list. All we see in cases like this are a few unthreaded list posts by the original author followed by an SVN revision number: http://lists.cs.uiuc.edu/pipermail/llvm-commits/Week-of-Mon-20140714/226166.html For any patch that's submitted for

[LLVMdev] Creation of Intrinsics with Pointer Return Types
Hello, LLVM's intrinsic overloading mechanism does not currently support overloading on pointer types. Patches to implement this would be welcome. [LLVMdev] Overloaded intrinsics: name explosion
Hi, So, we currently have gc.result.int, gc.result.float. gc.result.ptr, gc.relocate, and gc.statepoint. gc.statepoint's signature is fine with a iPTRAny as the first argument. gc.result is in trouble, because none of the signatures admit even a simple array of integers, and there's no aAny. And certainly no vectors. So we can get a gc.result.vector to add to this mess, and admit [1] to

Question about using IRBuilder::CreateIntrinsic for a variadic intrinsic
I have a variadic intrinsic that is defined as something like this: def int_foobar : Intrinsic<[llvm_anyint_ty], [llvm_vararg_ty], [IntrNoMem, IntrSpeculatable]>; When I construct a call to the above intrinsic with IRBuilder::CreateIntrinsic, it mangles the intrinsic name with the return type (i64) and the actual argument

[LLVMdev] RFC: Integer saturation intrinsics
Hi all, I'm proposing integer saturation intrinsics. def int_ssat : Intrinsic<[llvm_anyint_ty], [LLVMMatchType<0>, llvm_i32_ty]>; def int_usat : Intrinsic<[llvm_anyint_ty], [LLVMMatchType<0>, llvm_i32_ty]>; The first operand is the integer value being saturated, and second is the saturation bit position. For scalar integer types, the semantics are: int_ssat: x <

[LLVMdev] llvm_anyint_ty clarification
Hello everyone, I am trying to implement the max PTX builtin function. This is defined in the following way: "max.type d, a, b;" where .type can be: .type = { .u16, .u32, .u64, .s16, .s32, .s64 }; The presence of multiple types requires llvm.ptx.max to be overloaded for i16, i32 and i64. So I think that the right way to define the intrinsic would be (as in the

[LLVMdev] Masked vector intrinsics and name mangling
Hi, The proposed masked vector intrinsics are overloaded - one intrinsic ID for multiple types. After name mangling it will look like: %res = call <16 x i32> @llvm.masked.load.v16i32.p0i32.v16i32.i32.v16i1(i32* %addr, <16 x i32>%passthru, i32 4, <16 x i1> %mask) 6 types x 3 vector sizes = 18 names for one operation I propose to remove name mangling from these intrinsics: %res

php 5.1 to 5.3
Hello list I'm managing a web server with centos-release-5-9.el5.centos.1. I have php-5.1.6-40.el5_9 right now and I'd like to update it to php53. I wander if its easy or complicated. If somebody have any instructions I'd be very glad! Thank you in advance. Nikos -- Untitled Document ------------------------------------------------------------------------ *?????? ????? - Gatsis

[LLVMdev] proposal to add MVT::vAny type
The ARM Neon load, store and shuffle operations that I've been implementing recently with LLVM intrinsics do not care about the distinction between vectors with i32 and f32 elements -- only the size matters. But, because we have only MVT::fAny and MVT::iAny types, I've been having to define separate intrinsics for the operations with floating-point vector elements. It

[LLVMdev] Masked vector intrinsics and name mangling
Hal, thank you for your opinion. I just was confused when I saw so long name " llvm.masked.load.v16i32.p0i32.v16i32.i32.v16i1" . If we stay with a short name, we do a step towards instruction form. - Elena -----Original Message----- From: Hal Finkel [mailto:hfinkel at anl.gov] Sent: Sunday, October 26, 2014 17:06 To: Demikhovsky, Elena Cc: llvmdev at cs.uiuc.edu Subject: Re:

[LLVMdev] Adding intrinsic with variable argument list HOWTO.
Hi, I've been hitting my head to wall two days now. This is practically my first contact with InstrInfo.td files. Is there any tutorial how to make this kind of stuff? Or should I just keep on studying Sparc and other backends? So I added new intrinsic to llvm/include/llvm/TCEInstrinsics.td: def int_tce_customop : Intrinsic<[llvm_void_ty, llvm_ptr_ty, llvm_vararg_ty], [],
