MGE Pulsar M 3000 communication problems
Hallo, I installed nut 2.0.4 on a Solaris 8 and tried two things: First I wanted the ups to connect via usb, but I could not compile the usb drivers. Make usb told me: no target named usb found Second, because both ups and host have serial ports I tried to get it working with serial. The driver starts very fine, but takes a long time to detect the ups. Upsd starts too, but while get in

Bug in acepack (PR#2352)
This ancient bug was tracked to the acepack library, line 556 in line src/avas.f The troublesome line is: if (x(n).gt.x(1)) go to 30 Since the input arguments are empty, referencing x(1) and x(n) cause a Segmentation fault, and cause R to crash. Acepack author and maintainer Rob Tibshirani <tibs at utstat.toronto.edu> has been contacted with this information. This is not a

[Fwd: mounting as a regular user]
Thank you for the reply Joe. Which smb.conf files would you want to see? I am trying to mount shares from 2 FreeBSD, 1 RH9 (linux) and 2 Windows servers to a directory structure on my system. To give an idea my mount script is as follows (with some info removed): # Smeagol (FreeBSD Domain Controler/Profile Server) # mount -t smbfs -o username=$user, password=$pass,ro //smeagol/home-dir$

Asterisk to Asterisk via IAX2 Help
Hi, I have two asterisk machines, chomper and otao. otao is otao.ieworks.net, has a public IP address (66.101.11.61), but no PSTN connections. chomper is at my house, behind NAT, but has a single X100P PSTN connection. I would like to establish two way calling between otao and chomper. Right now, I can call my extension on otao (2101) from my x-lite softphone on chomper, but I cannot call

Compile Problem with libs
I'm trying to build samba 3 for Solaris 9 and I'm having trouble with the libraries. Everything seems to build fine but when I try to run one of the binaries I get: ld.so.1: /appl/samba/bin/net: fatal: liblber.so.2: open failed: No such file or directory If I add the path for my ldap and gcc libs to my LD_LIBRARY_PATH environment then I can run the commands and they seem fine but

report on issue of samba_upgradedns
Hi, This is just a report I wanted to share. Maybe someone can put it on the wiki. I created a new DC for a new site using the samba internal dns option. Later, I decided to go with bind. So I ran the command, and got this error: [root at theoden ~]# samba_upgradedns --dns-backend=BIND9_DLZ --verbose Reading domain information DNS accounts already exist No zone file

R-alpha: ISO Latin1 and Readline
Does anyone have experience with using the readline library in conjunction with ISO Latin1 characters? In response to a prod from Martin Maechler I am trying to convert R so that it will accept 8-bit characters (and render them correctly in text and graphics). This appears to work when I type such lines into a file and source it, but readline seems to intercept any 8-bit characters I type

Dynamic DNS failures with Samba4
Hi, I've used samba3 for years, and it mostly did exactly what I wanted, In the last few weeks I decided to install Samba4. I got it installed and everything seems to be working as expected. I have one small issue, and I'm not really sure if the problem is Samba4, bind, my client PC or something else I haven't considered. I've got one Linux server, which acts as a Samba

After installation and misdn-init, I have this: aragorn:root/pts/1: # misdnportinfo Port 1: TE-mode BRI S/T interface line (for phone lines) ->

Unable to create WinXP DomU
Hi, Since a week or two I can''t create two of my three WinXP DomU''s anymore, the third one starts just fine. This is the basic error message I get: # xm create WinXPViaLilaGeert Using config file "./WinXPViaLilaGeert". system-config-display wrongly sets up Viewsonic VG730m monitor
I originally set up this monitor with an analogue lead. Everything seemed fine, so I didn't check xorg.conf at all. Then I bought a digital lead, and since then the monitor blinks. Running system-config-display identifies it as a 1280 x 1084 CRT monitor. It is an LCD monitor. That model is not on the drop-down list, so assuming that a specific driver wasn't available for it, I

[rspec-devel] rspec_on_rails (trunk - r3070) works with Rails 2.0.1
I figured most of it out. The Spec::Rails stuff was something in the code which has been fixed by revision 3099. The test methods partially make sense. Since the test/unit code has been integrated, methods with test in them are automatically turned into specs. However, the test? method is in a lib file that isn''t directly loaded into the specs. It is a convenience method: def

Iptables matching on IFB
Hey folks, I stumbled across the Mastershaper project ( http://www.mastershaper.org/ ) but I have a little problem: I wanted to shape the traffic coming from the router itself aswell as coming from the LAN behind the router, for that task I need IMQ, but with IMQ iptables-(layer7)-matching is not possible. Now I''ve talked with the programmer and he said the following: >The problem is
