Tripp Lite OMNI1000 LCD issues
I wrote a while back about the inability to kill the following command with anything but "kill -9" and the apparent high speed polling rate. # /lib/nut/usbhid-ups -u root -DDD -a trippy The setup I have worked on a previous version of nut, but I have forgotten at what point it stopped working. (I believe it was around Nov, 2007 that I noticed things were not working correctly.) I

If the original 16-bit sample is 0x52F3, it goes through floating point, then comes

usbhid-ups: shutdown testing needed
To people with APC, CyberPower, Belkin and TrippLite UPS'es and using the 'usbhid-ups' driver. There are some concerns that the usbhid-ups driver is not acting as it is supposed to do. Could you run the following command (as root and with the mains plugged) and check if the UPS powers back on automatically? upsmon -c fsd I think we should *not* release nut-2.2.1 if we're not

tripplite_usb and Omni1000
As I understand it from looking through the archives of this mailing list and the source for the driver, tripplite_usb should work for this device. I tried to go through the source as best I could to see if I could add support myself, but got a bit lost. Anyhow, here's hoping that someone has some experience with this model. My system is using the latest CVS checkout of the Development branch

Binning question (binning rows of a data.frame according to a variable)
Hi, I have tuples of data in rows of a data.frame, each column is a variable for the 'items' (one per row). One of the variables is the 'size' of the item (row). I would like to cut my data.frame into groups such that each group has the same *total size*. So, assuming that we order by size, some groups should have several small items while other groups have a few large

Simulate binary correlated data
Dear R experts, I am trying to simulate correlated binary data and have stumbled upon the following problem: With the help of "binarySimCLF" or "mvpBinaryEp" I have been able to simulate correlating binary vectors given certain mean values and a desired correlation. My problem is that these procedures do not allow you to specify the exact vector for which you want to generate

USB HID - interrupt reports
Since reports received over the interrupt pipeline are a recurring problem for various types of UPS'es, I propose to simply ignore the data we receive there and only flush the respective report buffer. By doing so, at the time the interrupt reports are processed the first variable that is retreived will trigger a poll for the corresponding feature report and we should be fine. The impact on

Asterisk unresponsive
We are running asteriskNow 1.4.18 and after a few days it becomes unresponsive and inbound INVITEs timeout. We just reboot the box to resolve it. But it seems to be occurring more regularly now. I am hesitant to move to latest version, but will do if needed. Any guidance or troubleshooting modes I may use will be helpful. -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was

Web server becoming unresponsive : high load
Hi, I have a web server which is randomly becoming unresponsive. I've checked for hardware problems with no luck : - no ethernet errors - no disk errors - no memory errors So far I've managed to point the trouble at the web server since if I restart httpd (apache) it comes back to normal. This is not a shared server so I control (or at least like to think of) what is hosted so I have

Lighty+Mongrel unresponsive after so many requests
I transferred a site from Lighty+SCGI to Lighty+Mongrel, and now I''m having problems with it becoming unresponsive. It works fine for about 10-15 minutes, but then attempts to access the site just stall forever. Nothing is written in any of lighty''s or mongrel''s logs. Here''s my lighty config: $HTTP["host"] =~ "www.xyz.com" {

predict(backSpline(x)): losing my marbles?
I'm sure I'm doing something completely boneheaded here, but I've used this idiom (constructing an interpolation spline and using prediction from a backSpline to find an approximation profile confidence interval) many times before and haven't hit this particular problem: r2 <- c(1.04409027570601, 1.09953936543359, 1.15498845516117, 1.21043754488875,

Intermittently unresponsive mouse
I am using the Mate desktop on CentOS 7 and have found that the mouse intermittently becomes unresponsive for a few seconds, typically no more than 3-5 seconds. I do not remember seeing that when I used the regular Gnome desktop on CentOS 6 but I could misremember. The machine is fast and uses a dual-monitor setup with the native nVidia graphics driver. Is this really to be expected? I thought

Puppet dashboard shows all hosts unresponsive
Hi guys, I have a strange situation. I''ve got 1 dashboard MySQL DB accessed from 3 different dashboard hosts. Strangely enough, 2 of them show the right node statuses, and the third one just shows all nodes as unresponsive. As far as I know, the status comes from the "nodes" table in the DB, so how can this happen? Is there some cache I need to clear? Is there another

application always unresponsive overnight
Hi, I set up my application on Linux (Suse), running MySQL (which sits on a different server) and Webrick. It works fine. However, every morning when I come back to my desk, the application gets unresponsive. If I simply access http://host:3000 <http://host:3000/> I can see the rails greeting page (that means Webrick is running fine right?), but if I access any of pages in the

Fwd: Re: Asterisk CLI unresponsive
Jonas Try asterisk -rnx "show locks" > /locks.txt If that does not work than your CLI process is completely gone and you are done. I have bumped into these kind of CLI locks and it really sucks. I have written a program to monitor for them and kill the asterisk process if they occur then asterisk_safe will automatically start a new instance. It does not happen for me very often
