Building LLVM and Clang using Clang?
Try as I might I can't seem to get LLVM to bulid using clang/clang++.
No matter what I do it insists on using /usr/bin/cc and /usr/bin/c++
which are gcc. Am I missing something obvious? I vaguely remember some
document describing a stage1 compiler built by your old toolchain and
a stage2 compiler but I can't find the steps to do that any more.

Duncan,
Yes. I believe both fink and MacPorts now default to the clang

Duncan,
I am unable to complile dragonegg 3.2 with FSF gcc 4.7 due the the

llvm build failed on Fedora 24
Hi,
I'm try to build llvm on my PC but it failed. I'm using following command,
$ cmake -G "Ninja" ../llvm -DCMAKE_INSTALL_PREFIX=prefix=$INSTALL_PATH
-DCMAKE_BUILD_TYPE=Release -DLLVM_ENABLE_ASSERTIONS=On
$ ninja-build -j 2
I have skipped libcxx and libcxxabi package.
It shows below error,

Hi,
I have not sent yet any bug-reports to llvm-dev but I am seeing this
build-failure:

Get full cmake lines and prepocessed source for a GCC bug report
Hi,
for filing a GCC v8.2.0 bug in Debian/buster AMD64 the Debian/GCC
mainatiners want two things...
[ FULL CMAKE LINE ]
How do I configure this in the LLVM/Clang build?
Can I set an option of cmake?
[ PREPROCESSED SOURCE FILES ]
How and where do I get the preprocessed source?
Do I need to set options for this in my build-script?
My build-script is attached.
Thanks in advance.
Regards,

[LLVMdev] dragonegg now requires clang
Hi Jack, can you please open a bug report asking that llvm-config only
provide the minimum set of flags needed to compile code that interfaces
with LLVM, rather than (as now) all kinds of unneeded flags such as -g
and warnings.
Thanks, Duncan.

[LLVMdev] llvm-config --cxxflags is not consistent when building by cmake.
Hi,
We found `llvm-config --cxxflags' does not have -fno-exceptions -fno-rtti
when using cmake to build LLVM.
Does anyone know how to fix it?
Best regards,
Luba

[LLVMdev] How to figure out what #includes are needed?
This is partly an llvm question, and maybe partly C++.
I am trying to make calls on code in the llvm infrastructure.(3.4.2) I appear
to be missing some include files, but don't know how to track them down. I get
compile errors on existing llvm header files, like the following two examples:

[LLVMdev] dragonegg now requires clang
Hi Jack, this occurs because you compiled LLVM with clang (right?) and
dragonegg is compiled with the same flags used to compile LLVM (it is
an llvm-config bug in my opinion that llvm-config output includes these
kinds of optional flags).
Ciao, Duncan.
