[LLVMdev] LLD: Removing Native file format?
I sent a patch for review. I'll wait for a while, probably submit that tomorrow. Need help on identifying a patch which fixed lld on linux platform
Thanks for the info Rui. Transitioning from llvm 5.0 to llvm 7.0 will take some time due to the nature/process of the production environment. Is it ok to use lld 7.0 with llvm 5.0? [LLVMdev] [lld] Representation of lld::Reference with a fake target
Not all input files have to be able to represented in YAML/Native format. There are many unrealistic use cases there. No one wants to write an executable file in Native because there's no operating system that can run that file. So is YAML. So is the combination of .so file and Native/YAML unless we have an operating system whose loader is able to loads a YAML .so file. We might want to write

[LLVMdev] [lld] Representation of lld::Reference with a fake target
I think no one is opposing the idea of reading and writing YAML. The problem here is that why we need to force all developers to write code to serialize intermediate data in the middle of link, which no one except the round-trip passes needs. [LLVMdev] LLD COFF status
I've been working on the new LLD COFF linker for 1.5 months so far (including history of my personal repository), and I feel like I should post an update on that matter as a followup to the previous discussion thread. In short, it's doing very well. Completeness It was able to link itself from the first day when the first patch was landed. Since then, I fixed bugs and added more
