[cfe-dev] [3.8 Release] We have branched
With reference to the following thread:
http://lists.llvm.org/pipermail/llvm-dev/2016-January/094100.html
I am having the same issue. First I did a git pull of all the relevant
directories and then doing a cmake:
cmake -DLLVM_ENABLE_DOXYGEN=ON -DLLVM_ENABLE_WERROR=OFF
-DLLVM_TARGETS_TO_BUILD="X86" ../llvm
and followed by make:

[cfe-dev] [3.8 Release] We have branched
Hi,
The test-suite expects to be built standalone but it looks like you have it in the same tree as LLVM. You'll need to remove it.

[cfe-dev] [3.8 Release] We have branched
I think we've just forgotten to update that part of the instructions. Having the test-suite at projects/test-suite was harmless to the old autoconf and LLVM 3.7.x's cmake builds because it didn't actually cause the test-suite to be built. The CMakeLists.txt that have been added to the test-suite now cause it to be built by LLVM's build system which introduces the build failure. We

[LLVMdev] In llvm, how can I delete a whole branch elegantly?
Hi,
I am trying to prune some uninteresting llvm ir branches, corresponding
to the *if-else* condition in the source code. And here is the procedures:
1. Get the BasicBlock containing the BranchInst which has 2
successors(in order to keep consistent with the source code I am using the
llvm ir without any optimizations, so SelectInst/SwitchInst/PHINode is
absent), one of which should be

CFI, Safe-Stack, and -fno-sanitize-trap
Hi,
I am using clang++3.9 to build a simple program with both CFI and safe-stack. I am getting linker errors when combining -fsanitize=safe-stack, -fsanitize=cfi, and -fno-sanitize-trap=all. Combining safe-stack and CFI without -fno-sanitize-trap=all works as expected.
It looks like clang is attempting to link in two compiler-rt libraries, one for ubsan and one for safestack, and this causes

[LLVMdev] libclang_rt.asan-x86_64.a: No such file or directory
I just tried building the latest clang following the instructions in
http://clang.llvm.org/get_started.html, and got this error when trying to

[LLVMdev] internal compiler error when compiling llvm-gcc-4.2-2.9
Hi everyone,
Recently I tried to compile llvm-gcc-4.2-2.9 on a 64bit ubuntu12.04
machine. And I was using the settings below,
export C_INCLUDE_PATH=/usr/include/x86_64-linux-gnu
export LIBRARY_PATH=/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu
../llvm-gcc-4.2-2.9.source/configure --enable-optimized

[LLVMdev] [RFC PATCH] X32 ABI support for Clang/compiler-rt
Hi,
I'm working on bringing up complete coverage for a Gentoo x32 "desktop"
system. I've been cooking up quite a few patches for various packages
to push upstream, but right now, the biggest blocker is the lack of
support for building with/codegen targeting x32 in llvm/clang. Since
the x32 patches were sent last year, I see support code has landed in
LLVM, and basic handling of

Seeking suggestions about interfacing of LLVM DataFlowSanitizer library with KLEE in C code.
Dear Developers,
I am a Master's student at the ECE department of the University of Florida, USA. For my research project, supervised by Prof. Mark Tehranipoor<http://tehranipoor.ece.ufl.edu/> and Prof. Farimah Farahmandi<http://farimah.ece.ufl.edu/>, I need to use Clang LLVM DataflowSanitizer library in KLEE. However, I have faced some difficulties (explained below) while

why there is no libclang_rt.asan-x86_64-android.so
Hi all,
I want to do fuzzing test on Intel x86_64 platform, however I cannot find the shared library for libclang_rt.asan-x86_64-android.so, can anyone tell me where I can find this library?
Best Regards

asan link failure when configuring with -DBUILD_SHARED_LIBS=ON
I'm getting this link failure when running ninja check on Linux. I'm
configuring with shared libraries enabled, so I'm not sure why asan is
looking for .a archives.
$ cmake -G Ninja -DCMAKE_BUILD_TYPE=Debug -DLLVM_BUILD_TESTS=ON
-DCLANG_INCLUDE_DOCS=ON -DBUILD_SHARED_LIBS=ON ../llvm
$ ninja check-all

[LLVMdev] Problems in instrumentation
Hi everyone,
I have some trouble in instrumenting load instructions. I want to
instrument load instructions as follow: Firstly, I judge whether the loaded
pointer(*any type is possible*) is NULL. If so, I want to explicitly
allocate the corresponding address space of its type to the pointer.
For example, in source code level I want to translate the next statement
*p = 1;
into the next

[LLVMdev] internal compiler error when compiling llvm-gcc-4.2-2.9
Thanks for your help, Wei-Ren and Anton.
However since I am doing some experiments with klee(
http://klee.llvm.org/GetStarted.html) and llvm-gcc seems to have better
compatibility with it. So I still hope that I can use llvm-gcc:-)
