Hi Hans, I used the official Ubuntu binary: http://llvm.org/releases/3.6.0/clang+llvm-3.6.0-x86_64-linux-gnu-ubuntu-14.04.tar.xz Seems to me that it should be an optional dependency. ncurses didn't have pkg-config files in not-that-old versions.
