[LLVMdev] LLVM and newlib progress
I managed to compile newlib with llvm-gcc yesterday. That is, the machine independent part is now basically done, and the syscall part contains no-op stubs provided by libgloss. I haven't tested the port yet, but since newlib has already been ported to many architectures, I would be pretty surprised if there were any major problems. Compiling for baremetal ARMv4 on Ubuntu Linux
Hello Christian, I'd expect that adding the library paths (-L) from gcc -v should fix the unable to find -lc, -lm but it won't fix the -lclang_rt.builtins-armv6m.a . To get clang_rt.builtins-armv6m.a you will need to cross compile compiler-rt for v6m and copy it to /usr/local/myclang/lib/clang/8.0.0/lib/baremetal . Beware that building compiler-rt for v6m does need quite a bit of fighting

Hello, I recognized that compiler-rt's the implementation of __aeabi_memcpy simply branches to memcpy. The implementation of memcpy is not provided. So an externally provided memcpy () has to be used.
