[LLVMdev] [3.6 Release] RC4 has been tagged
Hello testers, RC4 has just been tagged (at r229782 on the branch). RC3 was disqualified due to an infloop that Duncan reported, and fixed in r229421. That, fixes for a few scary X86 bugs, a GCC5 bootstrap problem (PR22625), and parts of PR22589 is included in RC4. Baring any showstoppers, this release candidate will be promoted to release. Please let me know how it looks and upload binaries

[8.0.0 Release] rc3 has been tagged
Dear testers, 8.0.0-rc3 was just tagged from the release_80 branch at r355015. We're running a little behind schedule now, but I think we're also close to be able to call this done. Please take a close look at this release candidate. Unless anything bad comes up, this is probably very similar to what the final release will look like. Testers, please run the test script, share your

[7.0.0 Release] rc3 has been tagged
Dear testers, 7.0.0-rc3 was just tagged (from branch revision r341805). No further release candidates are currently planned, so this is a release candidate in the real sense: unless any serious issues surface, this is what the final release will look like. Please run the test script, share your results and upload binaries. Please also take a look at the release notes and other docs; small

[3.7 Release] RC3 has been tagged, let's wrap this up
Hello everyone, 3.7-rc3 has just been tagged. Testers, please test, build binaries, upload to the sftp and report results to this thread. Again, a lot of patches got merged between rc2 and rc3, but hopefully nothing that should upset things. One thing that did change is that the release script now correctly symlinks clang-tools-extra into the build. If this causes problems on your platform,

Dear testers, Release Candidate 3 has just been tagged [1]. Please build, test, and upload to the sftp. If there are no regressions from previous release candidates, this will be the last release candidate before the final release. Release notes can still go into the branch. [3.7 Release] RC3 has been tagged, let's wrap this up
It seems this is a cmake vs autoconf thing. With cmake, it builds correctly, but with autoconf I get the same error as you. I probably shouldn't have made this change while we were in the release process as it was potentially risky :-/ I've reverted it now, so hopefully the next build should be problem free. Hi Dmitry, if I understood Hans clang-extra wasn't part of the build prior to rc3. Just delete it and run script with --no-checkout. [3.8 Release] RC3 has been tagged
[ Original posting see [1] ] >From [1]: ... Added: llvm/tags/RELEASE_380/rc3/ (props changed) - copied from r261685, llvm/branches/release_38/ ... The LLVM Git repositories have no "rc3" tag in "release_38" branch (as an example llvm.git#release_38 see [2]). Who is responsible for that or maybe better... can you activate the responsible(s)? Helpful is to add

[6.0.0 Release] Release Candidate 3 tagged
Dear testers, 6.0.0-rc3 was just tagged, after r325901 on the branch. There are still a few open blockers, but I'm not sure we'll actually end up blocking on all of them. So depending on what comes up, this release candidate is probably pretty close to what the final release will look like (I'm still hoping for more release notes, though). I'm hoping we can get to
