[LLVMdev] LLVM Parallel IR
I'm part of a research group at MIT looking to create an extension of LLVM that inherently allows one to nicely code a parallel loop. Most parallel frameworks tend to take the body of a parallel loop and stick it inside of a function for the parallel runtime to call when appropriate. However, this makes optimizations significantly more difficult as most compiler optimizations tend to be

Inline constant std::function parameter
I was afraid that was the case, since std::function is not a first-class object of LLVM. Every implementation that I can think of that inlines std::function intrinsically seems a bit awkward, in the way that it will be along the lines: “Treat this class (std::function) in a special way” A better way would be to generalize for all callables, and say something along the lines of “If a class has

Inline constant std::function parameter
Hey LLVM-dev, I'm trying to inline the following C++ code: __attribute__((always_inline)) static void inline compose(const char* s, std::function<void(const char *)> f) { std::cout << s << std::endl; f(s); } // --------------- Main --------------- int main() { // Nest three things compose("hello world", [](const

Inline constant std::function parameter

In general, the inliner can only inline direct function calls (not virtual calls, or calls through a function pointer or std::function); otherwise,

rsync 2.6.4 - directory always updated
Hi, I'm trying to figure out why when I do an rsync (Solaris, version 2.6.4 on both sides) from a site on the West Coast of the US to a site on the East coast, I keep getting directories updated when I use the command like this: # rsync -ar -v -v -i -O --force --delete --exclude=.snapshot --stats \ src:/sysic/lib/freedomlib_V100/ /sysic/lib/freedomlib_V100/ And I get output like this,

ActionMailer stopped working after upgrade to Rails 1.1
Hello, I am using implicit e-mail templates to send HTML messages. I had no problems till I have upgraded to Rails 1.1. Now the deliver_xxx method just fails without *any* error message. No error or whatsoever (both in development and production environments) exist in logs. Stranger than that, a blank page is being displayed (according to logs, 0 length response, with 200 OK code). I googled for

Create an Add Instruction in LLVM IR
I want to create an add instruction that takes two constant operands at the LLVM IR level. I use the IRBuilder class, but nothing happens. Here is part of the runOnFunction() method of my function pass: ... LLVMContext &Context = F.getContext(); IRBuilder<> builder(&Instruction); Value *Lef = ConstantInt::get(Type::getInt32Ty(Context), 4); Value *Rig =

Speech recognition in asterisk using google voice API
Hello, I have written an agi script that uses google voice API for voice recognition. The script records from the current channel untill the pound key (#) is pressed or the timeout (15 seconds) is reached. The recording is send over to google speech recognition service and the returned text string is assigned to a channel variable. More info and dialplan examples can be found in the README file:

[LLVMdev] Question about usage of LLVMLinkModules()
Hello Duncan, Thank you for your reply. I did figure it out in the end. It was a linkage conflict between the modules. There were some global types that I was declaring in both modules. After removing them, linking worked perfectly. Still it's a mystery why I got no error string pointing me to the reason the linking failed in the first place. Best Regards, Lefteris(Eleftherios) Karapetsas

AGI script that uses google's text to speech engine
Hello, I have written an AGI script for asterisk that uses google translate for text to speech synthesis. It supports a variety of different languages, local caching for the voice data and wideband audio. The voice in most languages is female and the quality of the synthesized speech is very high. More info about the script can be found here: http://zaf.github.com/asterisk-googletts/ the first

LLVMLinkModules2() C-API question
Hey all, A quick question about the LLVM C-Api and using LinkModules. In a normal situation where I have 2 LLVM modules and 1 depends on the other using LLVMLinkModules2() works perfectly. LLVMLinkModules2() "Links the source module into the destination module. The source module is destroyed." according to the comment of the function. That is all fine when you only have 2 modules. But

[LLVMdev] Question about usage of LLVMLinkModules()
Hello all, I am using llvm as a backend to a hobby language I am making. I have experimented with the C bindings since the project is written in C. I had no problems building a single lllvm module so far. I am not using a JIT compiler but at least at the moment am simply generating executables. The workflow I am using is to build a module with LLVMModuleCreateWithName() and populate it with the

patch: SDI Xpe images support for pxelinux
Hi, I added support in pxelinux for SDI (Wndows XP embedded images) files a few time ago for specific needs. It works well (at least for me atm) and I think I can now submit it to this list. I get a very good improvement in speed over the traditional way of loading SDI images. * Links : The 'diff -urN' patch for syslinux-2.11 (documentation included) :
