preliminary nv50 wfb patch
This patch will only work with Option "EXAPixmaps" "1", and will prevent classic exa from working. Occasionally a pixmap fails to map, but that's not related to this patch. I haven't done any hardcore optimisations, but suggestions are ofcource appreciated. In my experience some benchmarks suck now (gtkperf for which had it's performance halved), and qt4 is

wfb patches
These patches are pretty much done, except for a compile warning somewhere. The major remaining bottleneck is this line (as far as i can tell): offset -= (unsigned long) pPixmap->devPrivate.ptr; A significant amount of samples is spent on that, so suggestions on how to improve that are appreciated. I'm out of time for the moment. I'm curious how this performs for other people

Why do non-lvds monitors default to dithering these days?
In the past we assumed that external displays did their own dithering if needed. GPU based dithering is only needed for laptop displays if i had to guess. I was almost thinking my monitor was malfunctioning because of strange barely visible flickering. Now it *seems* as if dithering was the problem, although time will have to tell, because it's subtle to see these effects. Ofcource i can try

Samba as a PDC in a citrix environment
Hi all, this is a long time since my last post to this list and I have got a small question... (ofcource :) I'm going to introduce citrix into our office (two citrix XPa servers which are load balanced). According to the Citrix XPa docs it is not a good idea to use one of this servers as a PDC/BDC, I can imagine that (we wouldn`t want to give NT to much responsebilities). so my question

Trouble building 1.2.2p1 on Solaris 2.7
I installed OpenSSL 0.9.5 in the default location (/usr/local/ssl) on my Solaris 2.7 box, and then tried to install OpenSSH 1.2.2p1. Configure (with no arguments) complains that it can't find working OpenSSL libraries. The last few lines of config.log show a whole bunch of attempts to compile the test code, all failing of course. My /usr/local/ssl DOES have an include/openssl directory

Sometimes is works and others it doesnt. More often than not, it failes. I can do a wbinfo -g and -u and get the info so I am connected to the doamin, but not getent. Dear all, I have been trying to investigate the behaviour of different weights in weighted regression for a dataset with lots of missing data. As a start I simulated some data using the following: library(MASS) N <- 200 sigma <- matrix(c(1, .5, .5, 1), nrow = 2) sim.set <- as.data.frame(mvrnorm(N, c(0, 0), sigma)) colnames(sim.set) <- c('x1', 'x2') # x1 & x2 are
