[LLVMdev] LLVM Loop Vectorizer
If -simd option is specified opt could do validity checks, dependency analysis and such and recognize that a loop can be executed in parallel and as the -simd option is specified, convert the data types to vector instructions and add the scaling factor to the loop's iterators. Following this there can be an early machine function pass that sets up processor specific value in all of

[LLVMdev] info on coming out of SSA form
Hi, I am a newbie to llvm. I am wondering what approach is used when coming out of SSA form. I also appreciate pointers on where to look in the source code for this phase. [LLVMdev] inlining with O3 and O4
I am wondering how O4 vs O3 do inlining. With O4 it looks like inlining is done first on each file and then at linking phase. Wouldn't it be a better alternative to delay inlining decisions until the link stage? Ram -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... [LLVMdev] LLVM Loop Vectorizer
Perhaps we can parameterize the size of the vector while vectorizing @ llvm and fix up the loop iterators in a target specific pass. -----Original Message----- From: llvmdev-bounces at cs.uiuc.edu [mailto:llvmdev-bounces at cs.uiuc.edu] On Behalf Of Hal Finkel Sent: Friday, October 05, 2012 8:30 PM To: Das, Dibyendu Cc: llvmdev at cs.uiuc.edu Mailing List Subject: Re: [LLVMdev] LLVM Loop

Difficulty using correct moldel for the data in DB
Hi everyone, I''ve tried posting the same question to the list last Friday but somehow did not see it being posted.. I''ve just started with Rails and Ruby. I just started to play one of those RPG and to get my feet wet I''m writing an app to keep track of item fusions. So the scoop is that item can be fused with another items to create a higher level item. The higher

Help with Beta Distribution
First let me confess that I am a R-novice. I am trying to fit a beta distribution for a dataset using fitdistr(MASS). I am having difficulties with it because the function tends to fit a distribution with a range of 0 to 1 (I guess). However, my dataset is not! Anytips or tricks will be very much appreciated. Many Thanks. T. S. Ramanarayanan, Ph.D. Aventis CropScience Research Triangle Park,

generating Venn diagram with 6 sets
Dear r-helpers, Here I would like to have your kind helps on generating Venn diagram. There are some packages within R on this task, like venneuler, VennDiagram, vennerable. But, vennerable can not be installed on my Mac book. It seems VennDiagram can not work on my data. And, venneuler may have generated a wrong Venn diagram to me. Do you have any experience/expertise on those Venn diagram?

Question about basic-aa's assumptions
Hi, I have a test-case for which I seem to be getting incorrect information from basic-aa alias-analysis. Here it is: #include <stdio.h> #define ARR_SIZE 4 char c[ARR_SIZE]; char *pc[ARR_SIZE]; char **ppc = pc; int main() { pc[0] = &c[0]; pc[1] = &c[1]; pc[2] = &c[2]; pc[3] = &c[3]; printf(" ppc: %p\n" " pc : %p\n" " c :

FS corruption? bogus i_mode
Hello, I am doing some testing on a PXA270 based processor (on a single board computer) which makes the processor vulnerable to bit flips. One such bit flips seems to have corrupted the file system. The debug port on the board (it is a single board computer) had the following message when i think the FS corruption occured : <7>init_special_inode: bogus i_mode (33061) init_special_inode:

Alias scope and noalias metadata
Hi there! Greetings! I am wondering how I may be able get these annotations !noalias and !alias.scope to show up- I have a function with restrict added to the arguments but I do not see these intrinsics with clang -emit-llvm. Which pass inserts them? Best, Ram -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... URL:

Difference between samba 2.0.0beta4 and NT4.0 ?
Hi Samba-gurus, I have a problem with samba 2.0.0beta4 on solaris 2.5.1 (samba 1.9.18p10 behaves the same) : 1. I have a ordinary text-file on a samba-share (foo.txt). NT4.0 sees the samba-share (\\sun100\tmp) as a netdrive with the letter K:. I've done a 'net use k: \\sun100\tmp'. 2. I can doubleclick in NT4.0-explorer on foo.txt and notepad comes up correctly. 3.
