libguestfs on ARM
libguestfs now has experimental support for 32-bit ARM, including KVM
on ARM. You will need at least the following to make it all work:
- libguestfs 1.23.21 + 6e498461f6
Use ./configure --with-default-backend=direct. The libvirt backend
does not work (yet).
- supermin 4.1.5 + a55d9cf157
- kernel that supports virtio-mmio, virtio-scsi, virtio-serial
Note that the Fedora 20 kernel has

Optimizing RSync algorithm using techniques with Google used in courgette
Hi,I am student at LUMS SSE (http://cs.lums.edu.pk) and an active RSync
user.
Just few days ago, Google wrote about Courgette*: an algorithm which is
specially written for syncing executables. By using Courgette, Google made
diff size 1/10th of previous techniques used.
I was wondering if this (or something on same lines) can be used to optimize
RSync? I am senior and have to do a project. I am

[LLVMdev] The LLVMLinux Project
I'd like to announce the LLVMLinux project. This project aims to fully
build the Linux kernel using Clang/LLVM on the various architectures
supported by the Linux kernel. The project consolidates the work of the
lll-project, the PAX team, and Mark Charlebois' work on the ARM kernel.

[LLVMdev] GCC and LLVM collaboration: Cauldron's feedback
Folks,
As most of you know, I held a BoF at the cauldron where we discussed
the interactions between LLVM and GCC, and the overall response was
very positive. Here are some of the highlights, complementing Alex's
great summary on the blog.

Success: Bring-up of LLVM/clang-built Linux ARM(32-bit) kernel for Android - Nexus 5
Hello,
I would like to share my successful bring-up of LLVM/clang-built Linux
ARM(32-bit) hammerhead kernel for Android running on my Nexus 5 smartphone.
After having successfully brought up LLVM/clang-built Linux kernel(since
v4.15.7 to the most recent v4.17) on x86_64, I was interested in
accomplishing the same on the ARM platform of my Nexus 5 - Android
smartphone. So, here is the complete

Win98 SE -- cannot read files (timeouts?)
I am trying to connect a Win98 SE (second edition) client to a Samba
host. I am able to map the network drives, list directory contents
and the like. However, when I try to actually access a file from the
host, windows hangs for a while and then gives up (with a message
like: resource no longer available). The samba logs say something
like: connection reset by peer.
The samba host is Redhat
