Thanks for the suggestion, but it still puts everything in a single .section statement. > Although, I do worry about what LLVM's alias analysis will

merging one array into another
Is there no better way to merge one array into another than iterating over the array you wish to append with each() and push()ing the elements on to the other array? Here''s what I mean: var arr1 = [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]; var arr2 = [''a'', ''b'', ''c'']; $A(arr2).each(function(el) { arr1.push(el) }); Is there no better way to do it than this?

Need very fast application of 'diff' - ideas?
Hi everyone, Speed is the key here. I need to find the difference between a vector and its one-period lag (i.e. the difference between each value and the subsequent one in the vector). Let's say the vector contains 10 million random integers between 0 and 1,000. The solution vector will have 9,999,999 values, since their is no lag for the 1st observation. In R we have: #Set up input vector

converting blank cells to NAs
You can use na.strings="" in read.table() or read.csv() library(stringr) vec1<-unlist(str_split(readLines(textConnection("3,7,11,,12,14,15,,17,18,19")),",")) ?vec1[vec1==""]<- NA ?vec1 # [1] "3"? "7"? "11" NA?? "12" "14" "15" NA?? "17" "18" "19" #or

Dear All, I've an array with some missing values (NA) in between. I want to remove that particular matrix if a missing value is detected. How can I do so? Thank you very much. Best regards, Ray [[alternative HTML version deleted]]

[LLVMdev] Ada bound checks
Dear Duncan, Everything worked out with your help. Thanks. I'm now looking at bound checks that an Ada program has, so I can remove all possible. It seams that Ada already does some optimization to remove bound checks. Do you know how are they done, and where? I tested two codes (below) and the first code did not produce any bound check and the second produced two bound checks. -- -- Simple

Reducing the number of ptrtoint/inttoptrs that are generated by LLVM
Hello Chandler, > First and foremost - how do you address correctness issues here? Because the subtraction `A - B` can escape/capture more things. Specifically, if one of `A` or `B` is escaped/captured, the > subtraction can be used to escape or capture the other pointer. So *some* of the conservative treatment is necessary. What is the plan to update all the analyses to remain correct?

cannot convert String into Integer
Hi, I''m trying to implement a live search that supports searching for multiple words. So for example, if I type "ruby rails" in the search field, I would return results that have either the word "ruby" in them or the word "rails" in them. However, this is just a background as to what the following code is trying to do and might not even be needed to fix

{worker} after :end-time worker freaks out
Hi all, i was using bdrb a while ago and it wasn''t stable enough in version 0.2.1 for doing the job - it loss jobs or did execute only the first one invoked and so on. Now i gave the new version a try and i found a bug at playing around. When i start a worker_method over the normal Unix scheduler bdrb will start as much as possible the worker_method after the :end-time is reached.

Creating .Rout.save files for package subdirectory "tests"
Hi, I added the "tests" subdirectory and a test file (say "myTest.R") to our "systemfit" package. Up to now I create the "myTest.Rout.save" file with > R CMD BATCH --vanilla myTest.R myTest.Rout.save However, "R CMD check" reports two differences between myTest.Rout.save and the output of myTest.R: a) myTest.Rout.save contains following

mediaplayer for icecast streams?
Thank you, Ben! I was afraid it would be very complicated to get the information extracted, but it was very simple. My only problem now is to find a way to update the text on the webpage. I was hoping sleep(5) could do the trick, but it does not work. <?php if (1) { $jsonobj=file("http://radio.protestbandet.dk:8000/status-json.xsl"); //var_dump($jsonobj);

gsummary function (nlme library) (PR#8782)
Full_Name: Ben Saville Version: 2.1 OS: Windows XP Submission from: (NULL) (152.2.94.145) I'm using the gsummary function to calculate a sum of V1 (column one) from my data 'mytest' by group (V2,or column 2). If V1 (the variable of interest) is all the same value (in this case all 2's), I do not get back the correct summation. If there is at least one difference in V1 (all

rspec model testing - test on user defined validation- How do I test that the create failed.

The test checks to see that if field1 has a value then field2 must be nil and vice versa. ------------------------------- When I did the rspec_scaffold it generated one test which worked before :each do @valid_attributes = { :field1 = "value for field1" :field2 = "value for

incremental directory searche in rsync 3.0.6
Hi, I was in under impression that rsync 3.0.5/3.0.6 creates all the missing directories in the path but I think I am wrong. Could any one tell me is it possible to create all missing dirs in path at destination side if not exists. Currently, I have been getting below errors. rsync -avz /tmp/mytest/rsync-test/dir-test/parent-dir/ desthost:/tmp/mytest/rsync-test/dir-test/parent-dir/ sending

[LLVMdev] LTO and Optimized libraries don't mix
When using the ARM cross compiler we've run into an issue with LTO and optimized libraries. Consider you have an optimized library opt.a, which contains a version of memcpy. Compiling with LTO (something like), clang myTest.c opt.a -flto -o myTest causes myTest.c to get compiled to bitcode. Then the bitcode gets passed to the linker. The linker looks through the bitcode (via

zfs - filesystem versus directory
Folks, While going through a quick tutorial on zfs, I came across a way to create zfs filesystem within a filesystem. For example: # zfs create mytest/peter where mytest is a zpool filesystem. When does this way, the new filesystem has the mount point as /mytest/peter. When does it make sense to create such a filesystem versus just creating a directory? # mkdir mytest/peter Thank you in
