[PATCH] p2v: use newer GTK APIs if possible
Make use of APIs available in early GTK+ 3 versions, adding
compatibility functions/macros for older GTK+ versions.
There is no behaviour change, and it helps in porting to even newer GTK+
versions.

[LLVMdev] Why can't comparisons with negative zero be simplified?
In InstCombineCompares.cpp, routine InstCombiner::FoldFCmp_IntToFP_Cst, there are these lines:
// Comparisons with zero are a special case where we know we won't lose
// information.
bool IsCmpZero = RHS.isPosZero();
// If the conversion would lose info, don't hack on this.
if ((int)InputSize > MantissaWidth && !IsCmpZero)
return nullptr;

[PATCH] speex-xmms endian problems fixed
I found a problem with trying to use the speex plugin for xmms on my
PowerBook G3 'Pismo' PPC machine, running kernel 2.4.19. It turns out
that the kernel sound driver ignores the endian of the data format flag
and instead expects the data to be native endian. This is the same
problem that was affecting speexdec.
I have now fixed this problem, and another compilation issue that I
found. I

[LLVMdev] Error when cond of select instruction is a vector
Hi LLVMdev,
In the specification of llvm ir, the select operation can takes a condition
of vector type,
'select' Instruction Syntax:
<result> = select *selty* <cond>, <ty> <val1>, <ty> <val2>
*; yields ty*
*selty* is either i1 or {<N x i1>}
Overview:
The 'select' instruction is used to choose one value based on a condition,

[LLVMdev] Vector comparisons
Are the ICMP and FCMP instructions meant to accept vectors operands
or no? Verifier excludes vectors, as does the AsmParser[1]. But the
CmpInst constructor accepts vectors[2], and they are documented as
allowed:

[LLVMdev] Error when cond of select instruction is a vector
This is indeed a bug. I get a different error on my machine. Until we solve this bug, as a workaround, you can use the <4 x float> type for which the vselect works.

[LLVMdev] Error when cond of select instruction is a vector
Hi Rotem,
What do you mean by "you can use the <4 x float> type for which the vselect
works".
Do you mean that then back-end can correctly split the operands when it is a
four elements vector? I've try that, but it still fails.

[LLVMdev] Floating-point range checks
Yes, the modeling of floating-point is trickier. The wrap-around trick used by ConstantRange seems less applicable, and there are the unordered NaNs. Though in all cases, the key abstraction is a lattice of values, so an instance of FPRange should be thought of as a point on a lattice, not an interval. The lattice needs to be complicated enough the cover the cases of interest, but not so

LLVM behavior different depending on function symbol name
using `opt --print-after-all -O3` I see that EarlyCSE is interpreting the
call to `ceil` and constant fold:
*** IR Dump After Early CSE ***
; Function Attrs: nobuiltin nounwind
define i1 @do_test() #2 {
Entry:
%0 = call fastcc float @ceil(float 0.000000e+00) #6

%2 = fcmp fast oeq float 0.000000e+00, %1
ret i1 %2
}
So just running `opt

[PATCH] Split gobject sources into 1 file per class
This patch replaces patches 14 and 15 from my previous series. The gtk-doc
output is now reasonable, and we can rely on an automatically generated
guestfs-sections.txt.

as far as compiling anything yet, but I've attached the C header for
initial review.

[LLVMdev] Bug in InstCombiner::FoldAndOfFCmps
Hey guys,
I've come across a bug when combining an AND of FCMPs. This bug occurs in
my compiler as well as Clang built from trunk.
A reduced test case is:
int foo( float a, double b ) {
return (a == a) & (b == b);
}
and the error is:
Assertion failed: (getOperand(0)->getType() == getOperand(1)->getType() &&

Problem with "R CMD Rd2dvi": Rd.sty not found
Hi,
I run into a problem with "R CMD Rd2dvi" command: it gives me "File `Rd.sty'
not found" error (See the output message on the bottom). I get the same
error when running "RCMD check". My system is: Windows 2000, R version
2.0.1, MiKTeX version 2.4. I do have a Rd.sty file in R_HOME/share/texm
directory.
I looked through newsgroups for any related discussions

Sweave produces gibberish instead of apostrophe in pdf
Dear All,
I try to use Sweave to make a document. But when I use the Sweave()
command on it and build a pdf with pdflatex (3.141592-1.40.3) my
apostrophes are replaced by some gibberish (an 'a' with a hat on it, a
capital A with a arc pointing upwards on it and a capital Y with two
points on it). If I manually replace the apostrophes using the keyboard,
I get a different looking
