[LLVMdev] Recompiling llvm+clang how-to?
Hello list I have questions about compiling Clang+llvm. I compile as the link below instructs. http://clang.llvm.org/get_started.html I do on Ubuntu 12.04. `time make -j5` prints for about 13 minutes to compile a brand new version of Clang+llvm. And after this I edit some C++ code(clang/tools/driver/driver.cpp) and compiles using the very same makefile which was used above sentence. But this

[LLVMdev] Recompiling llvm+clang how-to?
Hello Mr. Ciao and people on our list I tried this last night and now in the morning I captured the problem status. Could you please advise me on this problem? - I downloaded brand new clang+llvm and compiled it as instructed from the url below. >> http://clang.llvm.org/get_started.html - I added some code to tools/clang/tools/driver/driver.cpp 343 int main(int argc_, const char **argv_)

[LLVMdev] [RFC PATCH] X32 ABI support for Clang/compiler-rt
Hi, I'm working on bringing up complete coverage for a Gentoo x32 "desktop" system. I've been cooking up quite a few patches for various packages to push upstream, but right now, the biggest blocker is the lack of support for building with/codegen targeting x32 in llvm/clang. Since the x32 patches were sent last year, I see support code has landed in LLVM, and basic handling of

[LLVMdev] use of undeclared identifier '__NR_*' error while building clang
Hi guys, I am following this[1] tutorial to install clang. However, I have made a small change in the configure command, and I am running it with '--enable-optimized' option to avoid the debug build. I am getting the errors (given at the end) related to *undeclared identifiers '__NR_*'*. Can someone please provide some input about how to tackle this issue? On my other machine, I

[LLVMdev] Error building compiler-rt
Hi, I see that ENABLE_WERROR is being set to off (the default value) in the config.log in the llvm build. However on grepping for WERROR in the compiler-rt folder I get the following output: pranav at pranav:~/smack-project/llvm-3.4/src/projects/compiler-rt$ grep -Rin WERROR * lib/asan/tests/CMakeLists.txt:38: -Werror lib/asan/asan_malloc_mac.cc:253:// This function is currently unused, and we

Zorg migration to GitHub/monorepo
Hello everyone, We are in the middle of porting the majority of zorg to GitHub/monorepo. The following build factories will be ported and if you use one of those for your bots, you are all covered: * ClangBuilder.getClangCMakeBuildFactory (31 bots) * ClangBuilder.getClangCMakeGCSBuildFactory (2 bots) * LibcxxAndAbiBuilder (23 bots) * SphinxDocsBuilder (7 bots) * UnifiedTreeBuilder (11

[LLVMdev] Error building compiler-rt
Dear Alexey, Yes I am sure that the llvm, clang and compiler-rt are synced to the same version. I downloaded them all from git http://llvm.org/docs/GettingStarted.html#git-mirror I think I need compiler-rt for my project but I'll verify it again to see if I can proceed without it. You are correct that compiler-rt is compiled with the just built clang. The complete command that gives an error

yes I think that is correct. I wrote a simple program to print if sizeof(uintptr_t) != sizeof(unsigned char *) and when I compile with gcc -m64 and execute it on a 64-bit host (that is different from the 32-bit laptop on which I originally compiled the program), it says the sizes are not equal. [LLVMdev] Error building compiler-rt
Hi, I am trying to build llvm along with clang and compiler-rt. When I run make, I am getting the following compilation error (I tried compiling llvm-3.2, which is what I need for my project, but also tried llvm-3.3 and the current llvm source from the git repository). ... You can disable -Werror by adding the cmake flag -DLLVM_ENABLE_WERROR=OFF, which should let it just ignore that (that's also the default, so you must have turned it on somewhere) On Jul 31, 2013, at 13:09 , Pranav Garg <pranav.garg2107 at gmail.com> wrote: > Hi, > > I am trying to build llvm along with clang and compiler-rt. Hello build bot owners! The staging master is ready. Please feel free to use it to make sure your bots would work well with the monorepo and github. The following builders could be configured to build monorepo: * clang-atom-d525-fedora-rel * clang-native-arm-lnt-perf * clang-cmake-armv7-lnt * clang-cmake-armv7-selfhost-neon * clang-cmake-armv7-quick * clang-cmake-armv7-global-isel *

Hi Galina, It seems that our libcxx bots are now triggering builds for any changes to llvm: http://lab.llvm.org:8011/builders/libcxx-libcxxabi-libunwind-aarch64-linux/builds/2434 Should I file a bug report for this? [LLVMdev] [RFC] Progress report on CMake build system's ability to replace autoconf
So, we’ve had this conversation a few times, and I wanted to coalate a status report for all the interested parties. Here's the outstanding work and my (not necissarily correct) view of the status and importance of each one: * Bug 12157 - llvmconfig.cmake.in make cmake installations not relocatable - There are patches on the bug that we should review, test, and land * Bug 14109 - CMake

I think what she is referring to was that the build seemed to be triggered by a commit to a project that shouldn't trigger builds on a libcxx bot (i.e. the change was in llvm). I have a somewhat orthogonal but related question. In the past, commits to compiler-rt did not trigger builds on llvm/clang/sanitizer bots. Has this behaviour been rectified with the move to github? I am really sorry

[Zorg] Simplify ClangBuilder
Hi Richard, Marco, I noticed that you two are the remaining bot owners using the `getClangBuildFactory` from `ClangBuilder`. All the other bots using that builder have moved to the new `getClangCMakeBuildFactory`, including Windows ones. Given that they do similar functionalities, I'd like to encourage you to move to the new factory, so that we can simplify the builder's code. Thanks!
