Secure dynamic update failure with internal DNS
Hello, At one point secure dynamic updates worked. Now I require 'allow dns updates = nonsecure' for dynamic updates to work. I can't seem to find any trace of updates being performed in the samba logs or Windows. I've hit a wall and can't seem to progress. Michael, I have rework the patch according to your suggestion. And I have read binutil/objdump source code and found that it has a logic that if there's no symtab, it will use dynsym, which is missing in llvm-objdump. These patches make the changes necessary to build the kernel as Position Independent Executable (PIE) on x86_64. A PIE kernel can be relocated below the top 2G of the virtual address space. I have a Sparc Ultra-2 running Solaris 2.7 and Samba version 2.0.5 Most of the time everything works fine, Win95 & WinNT users connect to Samba shares and work. I think the linking context should decide whether to use rel (or) rela. This is also needed if --emit-relocations option is chosen (or) -r option is used. Thoughts ?
