[LLVMdev] [cfe-dev] !!! 3.2 Release RC2 deadline November 29th

Too much debate and no action on the bug in over a month. This bug means that we can't compile at anything over -O1, or we get code that does the wrong thing (e.g. terminate instead of catching an

Any Objective-C on non-Apple platforms that uses cleanups (including those Clang inserts for blocks) breaks in certain cases with inlining. There are also some cases in C++, and cases in LTO (or

[LLVMdev] Native linker
Hi Hans, There was a presentation at last year's DevMeeting.  See http://www.llvm.org/devmtg/2010-11/ and look for the presentation on Object Files by Michael Spencer.  As for the news, we haven't heard much here either. --Sam >________________________________ >From: Hans Stimer <hans.stimer at gmail.com> >To: LLVMdev at cs.uiuc.edu >Sent: Saturday, September 24, 2011

[LLVMdev] Cambridge LLVM Social
Hello any LLVM people in or near Cambridge (the original one, not the knock-off in Massachusetts), Chandler's closing speech at EuroLLVM indicated that LLVM developers on this side of the pond don't spend as much time in the pub as our Californian counterparts and that this was an important thing to address. To address this, I propose that we start a regular Cambridge LLVM social. The

RFC: Moving toward Discord and Discourse for LLVM's discussions
David, I'm glad you mentioned Discord's T&Cs. I'm not generally concerned about these kinds of things, but Discord's seems particularly aggressive. Particularly the phrase "perpetual, nonexclusive, transferable, royalty-free, sublicensable, and worldwide license" is... a lot. Since LLVM is a permissively licensed project I assume many of our contributors care about

EuroLLVM BoF session: Compilers in education

Hello various people, A few LLVM folk are in town for the ARM researchers gathering towards the end of the week and we discussed briefly the idea of having a small pub outing for them this week. It looks as if Wednesday is the best day, so let’s aim to go back to the Fort St George[1]. The weather is supposed to be warm again this week (though I’m sure Renato will strive to organise rain for

Hello again LLVM people in Cambridge (or London, or places similarly easily accessible on the train), We plan on holding the next Cambridge LLVM social on Wednesday the 20th of June, from 7:30pm onwards, in The Cambridge Blue: http://www.the-cambridgeblue.co.uk/blueroadmap.html The pub does food as well as beer, so at least some of us will be eating there. I hope to see you there, David

The Boathouse is nice - on the river and with reasonable beer and food. The Old Spring is also quite nice, has big tables outside, and is usually quite quiet midweek.
