runtime on ising model
So I'm in a stochastic simulations class and I having issues with the amount of time it takes to run the Ising model. I usually don't like to attach the code I'm running, since it will probably make me look like a fool, but I figure its the best way I can find any bits I can speed up run time. As for the goals of the exercise: I need the state of the system at time=1, 10k, 100k,

6.1 responsiveness under heavy (cpu?) load + thread monitoring
Hello, I have a RELENG_6/AMD64 with an AMD64X2 cpu, 1GB of memory, 512MB swap. I remarked that when I run 2 simulation program [1], sometimes, one of them run one or several of its threads [2] very slowly, but sometimes, it doesn't occur. I remarked that is doesn't depend on SMP/UP, ULE/4BSD, i386/AMD64. It seems to occur also with the kernel stress test under the same conditions (all

problems with CarbonLib
I tried to intall R in a iMac with Mac OS E1- 9.0.4 (Mac OS ROM VE-4.6.1). When I tried to run R for the first time I got a message about "Carbonlib-- CF RangeMake" not beeing found. Please, could you help me to tackle the problem. Thanks very much. Barahona -- Enrique Barahona Fernandez ESTACION EXPERIMENTAL DEL ZAIDIN, CSIC Profesor Albareda, 1 18008, GRANADA (Spain) Tel. + 34

[BUG] --sector-align zero padding is not entirely zero
Hi, A user at the www.thetradersden.org website reported a difference when fixing "sector boundary errors" in CD-quality WAV files with shntool and flac. As as result of investigating this, I think I've found a bug in the zero-ising of the buffer used to zero-pad the last file when encoding with the --sector-align option. My test consisted of the creation of four

[LLVMdev] Instruction bundles before RA: Rematerialization
Hi, We have a new BE for a VLIW-like processor and I'm currently working on instruction bundles. Ideally, I'd like to have bundles *before* RA to model certain constraints, e.g. the exposed one by Tzu-Chien a while ago in his thread http://lists.cs.uiuc.edu/pipermail/llvmdev/2005-September/004798.html In order to build bundles, we have added a new bottom-up MIScheduler, right after

[LLVMdev] Order of code generation
After enabling assertions and recompilation I still get this error. ~/bin/llvm$ llc -view-isel-dags t3.bc llc: Unknown command line argument '-view-isel-dags'. Try: 'llc -help' llc: Did you mean '-fast-isel-abort'? and I see the view-edge bundles option but get the following error. ~/bin/llvm$ llc -view-edge-bundles t3.bc Writing

Rgui crashes
My Rgui crashes quite a lot when entering certain characters. I put a freshly extracted msvcrt.dll into the rw1050\bin directory, but this did not fix the problem. Perhaps, as stated in the FAQ section, I need also "put the rw1050\bin directory early in your path" but I do not know how to do it in Windows Me. Please could you give me some help? E. Barahona

about adding a column for water year
Well, let's see: 1) You do not appear to understand basic flow control statements in R. Note that (from ?if): if(cond) expr if(cond) cons.expr else alt.expr where "cond A length-one logical vector that is not NA." Your cond is a vector of length nrow(DF), so you don't want if, you want ifelse(). Did you fail to show us your warning messages?? 2. Revising your code and

[LLVMdev] Rematerialization and spilling
Hi Jakob, thanks for the advice. I'll do as you suggest and make sure that CCR is never live. I can use pseudo-instructions to bundle cmp+jump but it's not ideal because I might also have to bundle cmp+jump+jump+... into a pseudo. Also, there are several flavours of cmp instruction so I might need a lot of pseudos. That's what led me to wonder whether MachineInstrBundles might be a

Cisco ISE unable to retrieve AD group list from samba 4 server
Hi all, I have run into a problem with our samba4 setup. I have successfully joined a Cisco ISE v1.1.4 (Identity Service Engine) test machine to the samba4 AD. User authentication does work but unfortunately the ISE is unable to fetch the AD groups from the domain controller. In the samba logs I get the following error message when initiating the group fetch: [2013/10/02 10:21:37.605554, 0]
