[LLVMdev] Missing libclang_rt.san-x86_64.a file for Compiler-rt
Hi everyone,
(Sorry if I'm asking at the wrong mail listing, but compiler-rt page
tells I'd better write on llvm-dev rather than cfe-dev/cfe-users.)
I've just built LLVM/Clang+Compiler-rt (Compiler-rt is put inside
llvm/projects folder) and tried the -fsanitize option. But strangely the
link failed since it cannot find *libclang_rt.san-x86_64.a*. The error
message is as

[LLVMdev] The source code Makefile (newbie with pass registering Problem)
Hi!!
It's me again. I guess that there is a problem in the Makefile of my source code. But I don't know where. Could you please verify it?
The Makefile is written like this:

LDFLAGS= -L/iss/fpga3/nicole/galib247/ga/ -lga -Wl,-E

[LLVMdev] In llvm, how can I delete a whole branch elegantly?
Hi,
I am trying to prune some uninteresting llvm ir branches, corresponding
to the *if-else* condition in the source code. And here is the procedures:
1. Get the BasicBlock containing the BranchInst which has 2
successors(in order to keep consistent with the source code I am using the
llvm ir without any optimizations, so SelectInst/SwitchInst/PHINode is
absent), one of which should be

[LLVMdev] [PATCH] Capability of Win32.DLL with ENABLE_SHARED
Anton,
Thanks for your comment.
2nd patch attached.
- s/SharedDir/SharedLibDir/g
- move prefix=cyg sunk into if(cygwin or mingw)
arigato gozaimasu...Takumi
* Additional issues
- You may build LLVMHello.dll but I don't modify lib/Transforms/Makefile.
Because making LLVMHello.dll requires the library LLVM.dll,
but it oughta be on the way to making libs at building

[LLVMdev] [PATCH] Capability of Win32.DLL with ENABLE_SHARED
Good summer, all!
This patch enables ENABLE_SHARED=1 to build DLL based LLVM toolchain.
I have checked this on Cygwin-1.5, Cygwin-1.7, mingw(msysgit) and
mingw-cross-fedora12.
I can separate this patch into some parts; cleanups, adding
definitions and adding rules.
Any feedbacks are welcome.
Have fun!

* Pros
- reduction of linking time of toolchain.
- capability of -load

[LLVMdev] internal compiler error when compiling llvm-gcc-4.2-2.9
Hi everyone,
Recently I tried to compile llvm-gcc-4.2-2.9 on a 64bit ubuntu12.04
machine. And I was using the settings below,
export C_INCLUDE_PATH=/usr/include/x86_64-linux-gnu
export LIBRARY_PATH=/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu
../llvm-gcc-4.2-2.9.source/configure --enable-optimized

Yep, it sounds like a good solution, and it works for me - thanks!

I'm trying to use the PPL (Parma Polyhedra Library,

[Fwd: Re: [LLVMdev] Shared library building problems on Darwin]
Michael,
I've implemented a LOADABLE_MODULE feature in the makefiles:
http://mail.cs.uiuc.edu/pipermail/llvm-commits/Week-of-Mon-20050110/023147.html
The approach taken is almost what you described below. However, I want
to retain the distinction between a "regular" shared library and one
that can be dlopened. So, if you specify SHARED_LIBRARY=1 you get a
regular shared library

[LLVMdev] Compilation problem when addind a library
Hi !
Here is the situation. I created a pass in lib/Transforms/Obfuscation. I added a createFlattening() in IPO.h and in my code
to be able to use it in PassManagerBuilder.cpp (lib/Transforms/IPO) in the method PopulateModulePassManager() so I can add my pass to standard passes.
It all works if I add all my files in the lib/Transforms/IPO directory.
But I want to keep them away in the

[LLVMdev] strange pass behaviour
Hi
I have written a pass which creates some scheduling information. Its called MParSchedule.
This pass works with opt. But when feeding it my experimental backend it seems to loose
instructions and fails to work. I am loading this stuff as .so libraries under linux and i am
using the amd64 version with a self compiled llvm-gcc.
With this call it works:

[LLVMdev] [llvm-commits] CVS: llvm/lib/Transforms/Hello/Makefile
And this brings back CommandLine Error: Arugment blah defined more
than once!
And without this, opt -load .../LLVMHello.dylib -hello does not work
on Darwin because dyld is not able to find SlowerOperationInformer ;)
thoughts ?

Hi,
I'm writing my first hello world Pass with the class name First, but
when I tried to load it using opt, I got the following error:

[LLVMdev] Profiling dynamically loaded libraries
Hi,
Standard approach to profiling dynamically loaded libraries with
gprof doesn't seem to work with LLVM:
export LD_PROFILE=Mylib.so
export LD_PROFILE_OUTPUT=.
make ENABLE_PROFILING=1 // compiling my project
opt -load Profile/Mylib.so -options...
but no Mylib.so.profile (or gmon.out) is produced. Profiling
libc.so.6 usage by "ls -l", however, works fine.
Could anyone explain

I think libhello should drop its use of SlowOperationInformer.
