[LLVMdev] [make] fatal error: 'LibraryDependencies.inc' file not found
I'm trying to build llvm from svn. I ran ./configure with --enable-debug-runtime, then make -j4, before I got the following error: llvm[1]: Building llvm-config script. make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/vk/opt/llvm/tools/llvm-config' make[1]: Entering directory `/home/vk/opt/llvm/tools/llvm-config-2' llvm[1]: Constructing LLVMBuild project information. Hi all, I'm new to Clang and LLVM and I'd like to use them on Win 8 with Code::Blocks. I'm having problems in running cmake. I did the following: * Installed cmake * installed Code::Blocks * Installed python (cmake was complaining if it was not installed) * Dowloaded sources fron svn (LLVM, clang, compilre-rt and test-suite. When I run cmake I got The following error:

[LLVMdev] svn trunk comilation error
Hi there, I'm having some trouble compiling llvm from trunk in the svn. I configured it with: CC=gcc CXX=g++ ./configure --enable-optimisation=yes --enable-assertions=no But I have this error: llvm[1]: Building llvm-config BuildVariables.inc file. llvm[1]: Compiling llvm-config.cpp for Release build 3.1_svn/llvm/tools/llvm-config/llvm-config.cpp:45:35: fatal error: LibraryDependencies.inc:

[LLVMdev] Why does cmake use LLVMBuild.txt to specify the LLVM-libs link order?
Hi, I've been working on a set of patches to statically link polly in the LLVM tools. There remains an error I can't seem to solve when linking llvm-lto (all other tools luckily get linked correctly): it insists adding libLLVMipo.a after libLLVMPolly.a on the link command, resulting in an error of the form: PassManagerBuilder.cpp:(.text+0x499): undefined reference to

[LLVMdev] cmake broken on windows?

[LLVMdev] dominance frontiers
Here's how I did things, back when I got to write my own infrastructure. It's still O(n^2) in the worst case, but *much* quicker in the expected case. Number all the basic blocks, 0 to n-1 and build a vector mapping from integer to block. Requires O(n) time and space. For each block, compute the set containing it's dominance frontier, based on Figure 10 of * * *Efficiently

What's LLVM{target}CodeGen vs {target}CodeGen?
Hi all, *TL;DR:* I have a target TMS9900CodeGen but cmake is looking for LLVMTMS9900 or LLVMTMS9900CodeGen which I don't have, and cmake dies. But the MSP430 target doesn't have that either, and cmake is happy with it. What am I missing? *The premise:* I may be making a huge mistake, but I'm trying to develop an LLVM backend. I'm writing up some notes while I do so, and I hope

[LLVMdev] make error
Hello, I am currently trying to install vmkit from source. I am running archlinux i686 with the 3.1.9-2 kernel. This output is from the directions given on the llvm site. Below is the configureation output along with the make output. I run ./configure with the following parameters ./configure --with-llvmsrc=../llvm --with-gnu-classpath-glibj=../classpath-0.97.2/lib/glibj.zip

Opt plugin linkage
The fundamental problem here is that opt doesn’t use ExecutionEngine (because it has no need to), so trying to use ExecutionEngine (or any other bit of llvm that opt doesn’t use for that matter) in an opt plugin isn’t going to work. The solution I’d go with would be to build llvm with shared libraries (use –DBUILD_SHARED_LIBS=ON on the cmake command) then link the plugin against ExecutionEngine.

[LLVMdev] Why does cmake use LLVMBuild.txt to specify the LLVM-libs link order?

Have you tried `target_link_libraries`? The new CMake book has an example showing one static lib depending on another (page 25): `target_link_libraries(foo

[LLVMdev] Compilation problem when addind a library
Hi ! Here is the situation. I created a pass in lib/Transforms/Obfuscation. I added a createFlattening() in IPO.h and in my code to be able to use it in PassManagerBuilder.cpp (lib/Transforms/IPO) in the method PopulateModulePassManager() so I can add my pass to standard passes. It all works if I add all my files in the lib/Transforms/IPO directory. But I want to keep them away in the

[LLVMdev] [cfe-dev] RFC: Upcoming Build System Changes
+1 We build our OpenCL SDK (for windows and Linux) using CMake. We’ve integrated LLVM’s Cmake hierarchy into our own (customizing LLVM external parameters like build and install directories, added passes, etc) Migrating LLVM’s build system from CMake to something else would require us to change the way we currently do things. [LLVMdev] Out of tree targets
Hey all, Quick query on out of tree target support - at present I can drop a folder Foo into <llvm>/lib/Target/Foo and use the CMake option LLVM_EXPERIMENTAL_TARGETS_TO_BUILD to pick up my target. The issue is that I still need to patch the one LLVMBuild.txt file in <llvm>/lib/Target with; |iff --git a/lib/Target/LLVMBuild.txt b/lib/Target/LLVMBuild.txt index 4112046..6e42cbe

[LLVMdev] Out of tree targets
I believe we'd need LLVMBuild.txt even in autoconf build - for bunch of autogenerated stuff, e.g. list of all asmprinters / asmparsers / InitializeAllTargetInfos, etc., since targets are not autoregistered anymore.
