Macintosh binaries; was: Rcmdr and Macintosh
I am a Windows user and trying to make life easier for my Mac-using students. After investigating the Mac situation more, it appears that the key to easy use is having precompiled binaries. However the packages I am interested in (Rcmdr and its required package, car) do not have one. I do not have easy access to a Mac, so I have a plea to Macintosh users: could someone please create them if it is

Still interested in pre-compiled binaries for 6.03-pre6
Most excellent! The pre-compiled syslinux6.03-pre6 binaries work great!
I'm able to load syslinux.efi and all necessary support libs. I get my
expected syslinux boot menu.
I've used syslinux 5 / vesamenu for yrs (Legacy PXE boots). So
I know my way around from here.
Thanks Gene & Feri.
And thanks Peter, for making me feel better -- it's the TFTP protocol
that's bizarre, I

[LLVMdev] Windows Binaries for 3.3 - I've built some (including shared library)
I've seen a lot people trying to find Windows binaries/tripping up on
the Windows compilation process recently which has not been helped by
the releases part of the website still lacking Windows binaries. So I
went and built some and put them in this repo:
https://github.com/CRogers/LLVM-Windows-Binaries/releases, although they
are built using VC++ instead of mingw32 (which may be better,

Pre-compiled OS X binaries?
The offer is still there, but I haven't been asked to upload them, nor
have I been offered them.

Pre-compiled OS X binaries?
Stephen F. Booth, the author of a number of audio progs for OS X (sbooth.org), is a subscriber to this list too and he might be able to provide an OS X build of FLAC 1.3.0.
However, I can understand the Xiph policy of only supplying officially blessed versions compiled by themselves. I guess we'll have to wait for 1.3.1...

LLVM z80 backend and llvm-dis missing?
Inspired by Jason Turner's talk at CppCon 2016: Jason Turner “Rich Code
for Tiny Computers: A Simple Commodore 64 Game in C++17”
I got interested in writing a Zilog Z80 backend for LLVM. Jason actually
did no such thing, but instead wrote a x86-to-6502 translator (reassembler
he calls it) https://github.com/lefticus/x86-to-6502
So I'm now trying to bootstrap this project.
Goal:

[LLVMdev] vmkit build failure of lots of "undefined reference"
Hi,
I got lots of "undefined reference" when building vmkit. Anyone can help to give a solution?
I download vmkit with "svn co http://llvm.org/svn/llvm-project/vmkit/trunk/",
followed the instructions of "http://llvm.org/svn/llvm-project/vmkit/trunk/README.TXT", and built vmkit on ubuntu 13.10 x64 with sunjava 1.6.0_45 + llvm 3.3 + classpath 0.99 + gcc 4.8.1.

[3.9 Release] Please write release notes!
Dear everyone,
It's time for the release notes nagging email.
We have release notes for LLVM, Clang, clang-tools-extra, lld, and
Polly. (If there are more, please let me know.)
Most of these are pretty empty files; see e.g. the LLVM one at [1].
The internet does read these notes when we release, so please help
make them informative!
If you made any interesting changes during the past six

Why are the binaries so huge?
Hi list
I just compiled 3.0rc1 on Solaris 9 (UltraSparc IIe) with gcc 3.3. Seems
to work fine but I am surprised by the enormous size of the binaries:

Building Samba 4 - Includes.c missing?
Hello all,
I've been peacefully using Samba 3 for about 3 years now, and it has done a wonderful job in my little world as domain member servers for file and print serving. Much bettetrver farms that some of my peers in the company are using.
So I want to try Samba 4 and see if I can play with making it my PDC. The only problem is that when I go to make, I receive the following error:

Syslinux 6.03-pre7: EFI64 broken (Gene Cumm)
Gene,
Where did you find the precompiled binaries for syslinux 6.03-pre7?
Actually, I'm interested in the pre-compiled binaries for syslinux
6.03-pre6.
I went out to kernel.org, but the latest they have is 6.02. Which appears
to have an endian problem in its TFTP client code (when syslinux.efi tries
to connect to the TFTP server, attempts to connect to UDP port 17664
instead of 69).

Syslinux 6.03-pre7: EFI64 broken (Gene Cumm)
Still interested in pre-compiled binaries for 6.03-pre6.
But my comment about 6.02 TFTP brokenness may speak more to my lack of
understanding of the TFTP protocol than to any pxelinux 6.02 code problems.
It seems that when TFTP sends an OACK back to syslinux.efi, it sends it
from another port than 69. So, it seems to be opening a data connection
back to the TFTP client off an ephemeral port.

missing xen-utils binaries
You might realize I am digging into the details of the the debian Xen
packages - so I find some opportunities to optimize them, which I report
either here or as a bugreport.
This one I just watched in Ralph Passgang's 3.1 packages, but I saw the
same in the Debian packages(at least in stable), too:
look at
# for i in `ls /usr/lib/xen-3.1.0-1/bin`; do ls /usr/sbin/$i; done

In the Fedora packaging we put virt-resize into libguestfs-tools-c,
