Test failure due to file path
Hi all,
The following tests fail because my username (csabaraduly) contains "bar" :

Test failure due to file path
For ignore-undefined-symbols.s, the simplest fix ought to be to have the llvm-mc RUN line take the source from <stdin>:
# RUN: llvm-mc –filetype=obj –triple=x86_64-pc-linux %s –o %t.o –g
becomes
# RUN: llvm-mc –filetype=obj –triple=x86_64-pc-linux < %s –o %t.o –g
But in this case, llvm-symbolizer still prints the file as $CWD/<stdin> which seems like its own separate bug.

tools/llvm-dwarfdump/X86/debug-names-find.s spurious failure
Hello Csaba,
Thanks for the heads up. I am the one who wrote that test. I'll look into
that shortly. Sorry about the trouble.

r330121 should fix that. Let me know if you still run into any issues.

[LLVMdev] [PATCH] utils/unittest: Consistency of gtest and gtest_main libs.
$(llvm-config --libs | tr " " "\n" | grep gtest) returns:
-lgtest_main
-lgtest
instead of non-valid:
-lLLVMgtest_main
-lLLVMgtest
It also fixes:

[LLVMdev] Build llvm/clang with cmake vs configure produces different set of artifacts
Hi,
In another post I was trying to find out how to use libc++ instead
of libstdc++ when compiling llvm/clang. I couldnt find the a way to tell
cmake to do that.
So I switched to using configure to compile llvm/clang. But now I
find that the artifacts produced are different. Here are the issues I see:
- configure doesnt seem to respect '--prefix' option, it just puts

Hans,
My current, and hopefully final, revision of the proposed patch
is simplified and reworked to solve the problem entirely from cmake
without touching the the llvm-build python scripts. Basically, the new
fix for avoiding the

[LLVMdev] tblgen(75451) malloc: *** error for object 0x7fff5fbfcbd0: pointer being reallocated was not allocated
Hi Jack,
I didn't get this error. Could you try again? Is it one of the release candidates in particular that's failing?

Go Tsan check failure
I guess there is lots of stuff that you don't care about besides
tsan/go that is built and tested during llvm build, and there is no
way to selectively disable each one of that. By design.
In the long run we need to fix all failures (please file a proper
bug). If you are looking for a temporal workaround, then comment it
out. I don't what else to suggest.

[LLVMdev] migrating from autoconf to cmake+ninja
I want to start using cmake+ninja instead of autoconf for configuring
and building llvm from svn, but I have no idea how to map my existing
list of autoconf flags to cmake.
Here's how I run ./configure right now in the top directory:
PREFIX=_some_prefix_dir_ \
../llvm/configure \
--prefix=$PREFIX \
--libdir=$PREFIX/lib/llvm \
--sysconfdir=$PREFIX/etc \

Kill "KillTheDoctor"
We still have the program called "KillTheDoctor" [1] in our source
tree. Its original intention was to stop requiring user interaction
for crashing regression tests under Windows (infamous Dr. Watson,
nowadays "[program] has stopped working" [2]), I don't think it is
useful anymore. It's also a very hacky approach, as admitted in the
source comment itself ("I hate

LLJVM make error
That source file was removed from LLVM in r232397 on March 16, 2015.
It looks like lljvm hasn't been updated in a long time. LLVM's C++ APIs are not stable, so there is no expectation that a project built against LLVM's C++ API in 2015 would build or reasonably function against LLVM trunk.
The project probably works against LLVM 3.6.2 which was (I believe) the last LLVM release to
