[LLVMdev] Fail to compile LLVM on Gentoo Linux
Hi all, I think it's Gentoo's bug, but I want to know if anyone has the same issue here. I am compiling LLVM trunk on Gentoo (gcc 4.5.2), and I get error message below, --- make[4]: Entering directory `/nfs_home/chenwj/llvm-3.1/svn/build/tools/clang/lib/Frontend' llvm[4]: Compiling InitHeaderSearch.cpp for Release+Asserts build

[LLVMdev] Fail to compile LLVM on Gentoo Linux
Hi. This is a known gcc bug (http://gcc.gnu.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=53670). [LLVMdev] Fail to compile LLVM on Gentoo Linux
Hi Duncan. Probably it depends on exact gcc version and possibly assert/noassert build option. I've got this problem with gcc 4.5.2 on 64-bit Suse (I don't remember whether assertions were enabled). [LLVMdev] clang++ on MacOSX with fsf-gcc libstdc++?
Hi, the subject says it all... After some experimenting, I got a bit confused as far as what the proper thing to do might be.... I build llvm/clang from trunk sources on OSX Lion 10.7.3 (i.e. x86_64-apple-darwin11.3.0 to speak GNU's platform-ese) where I also have successfully built a fsf-gcc 4.6.2 (and lately a 4.7 for that matter) from sources. Now, I think I understand that by playing

[LLVMdev] Linux clang toolchain targets
Is it too late to include "x86_64-unknown-linux" as a supported toolchain name in clang? We tend to need to hand-patch clang source to find include files properly on our systems, the patch looks something like this (just posting as a guideline, I'm not sure if this is the best approach or not, but it seems to work for us): Index: lib/Frontend/InitHeaderSearch.cpp

[LLVMdev] llvm configuration error
The problem was solved by setting environment variable CXX. But somehow a new one came. The gcc is installed in /usr/local/gcc-4.2.3. I managed to change clang/lib/Frontend/InitHeaderSearch.cpp clang/lib/Driver/ToolChains.cpp to force clang use the crt lib for that version. For details, plz see http://www.advogato.org/person/redi/diary/228.html. So now I have no problem of using clang to

[LLVMdev] Building clang with mingw/msys/gcc 4.4
I managed to build clang on mingw/msys today. Running configure, make install worked for both debug and optimized builds in general. However there were a few hitches along the way. Make would fail with: ln: creating symbolic link `/d/super/dump/code/llvm/llvm-project/llvm/build.clang/Release+Asserts/bin/clang++.exe' to `clang.exe': No such file or directory ln: creating symbolic link

[LLVMdev] [cfe-dev] Adding new target for hobby OS
This concerns me as well. I've accepted a programming bounty to port LLVM to AROS x86. Once that's done I suspect many people will want it ported to the other processors AROS supports. ----- Original Message ---- > From: Bjarke Walling <bjarke.walling at gmail.com> > To: cfe-dev at cs.uiuc.edu > Sent: Sat, April 9, 2011 2:06:30 PM > Subject: [cfe-dev] Adding new

[LLVMdev] question on clang c++ support
Hi, I am new to linux, llvm and clang, so please excuse me if I ask some basic level questions. :) I have some c code with code like below, so it won't compile with clang #include <math.h> #include <pthread.h> #include <sys/time.h> #include <unistd.h> #include <stdlib.h> #include <malloc.h> #include <sched.h> I think that I need to do the following
