[LLVMdev] Adding ClamAV to the llvm testsuite (long)
Hi, We are getting closer. 1. In Makefile, all the references to CFLAGS should be CPPFLAGS instead. 2. filterdiff.sh uses sed -re. This causes a problem on Mac OS X where -E means using extended regular expression, not -r. sed: illegal option -- r usage: sed script [-Ealn] [-i extension] [file ...] sed [-Ealn] [-i extension] [-e script] ... [-f script_file] ... [file ...] Can this

Hi Edwin, I ran into two problems. 1. Using your config file and Makefile, I ran into issue compiling with gcc: gcc -I/Users/echeng/LLVM/llvm/projects/llvm-test/MultiSource/ Applications/ClamAV -I/Users/echeng/LLVM/llvm/projects/llvm-test/ MultiSource/Applications/ClamAV -I/\Users/echeng/LLVM/llvm/include -I/ Users/echeng/LLVM/llvm/projects/llvm-test/include -I../../..//include

Noisy benchmark results?
Hi, I'm trying to run the benchmark suite: http://llvm.org/docs/TestingGuide.html#test-suite-quickstart I'm doing it the lnt way, as described at: http://llvm.org/docs/lnt/quickstart.html I don't know what to expect but the results seems to be quite noisy and unstable. E.g I've done two runs on two different commits that only differ by a space in CODE_OWNERS.txt on my 12

Noisy benchmark results?
Two other things: 1) I get massively more stable execution times on 16.04 than on 14.04 on both x86 and ARM because 16.04 does far fewer gratuitous moves from one core to another, even without explicit pinning. 2) turn off ASLR: "echo 0 > /proc/sys/kernel/randomize_va_space". As well as getting stable addresses for debugging repeatability, it also stabilizes execution time

ClamAV "clamscan" command using huge amount of RAM
We have a perl cgi script that accepts uploaded files and runs clamscan on them. While observing the system performance I noticed that each clamscan process consumes up to 250MB of RAM. Is this normal for ClamAV? This seems like an enormous amount of RAM, for simply scanning one file for viruses.

[LLVMdev] Intr*Mem flags meaning
I'd like to clarify the meaning of "Intr*Mem" flags used in intrinsics definitions. If an intrinsic does not access memory but read and write control registers, what flag should I apply in this case: IntrNoMem or IntrReadWriteArgMem or nothing? Thanks. -- Simon

[LLVMdev] local test-suite failures on linux
There is almost certainly a bug in lnt or the makefiles. I changed the body of Burg main to the following: + printf("Hello World\n"); + return 0; I re-ran the test-suite again and got the following errors: --- Tested: 986 tests -- FAIL: MultiSource/Applications/Burg/burg.execution_time (494 of 986) FAIL: MultiSource/Applications/ClamAV/clamscan.execution_time (495 of 986) FAIL:
