Problems with crashing IBM X3630 M3/ZFS
Hello. I've got a quartet of IBM x3630 M3 with one that is frequently
hard locking under heavy NFS load. I am running 9.0-RELEASE with all
the patches from freebsd-update.
My problem machine has 8 16 core clients, each doing IO intensive tasks
connected to it via a Procurve and the onboard igb0 interface. Mostly
network reads, typically 10MB read per MB written.
When the machine locks

nfsen daemon dies for unknown reason
Hello,
I am using nfsen 1.3.5 (http://nfsen.sourceforge.net/) on CentOS 5.8 x86_64 (running as a VM on a KVM Host).
For those not knowing it, nfsen is using php and perl and it allows graphing and analysis of (Cisco routers) netflow data captured using nfdump.
Often (about once a day) nfsen crashes for unknown reason. For example:
# /data/nfsen/bin/nfsen status
NfSen version: 1.3.5

sftp Batchmode command level error suppression does not work?
Hi guys -
OpenSSH sftp (on solaris)
>From man page
Termination on error can be suppressed on a command by command basis by prefixing the command with a `-' character (for example, -rm /tmp/blah* ).
This does not seem to work - instead the server seems to fail to recognize the command from the batchfile.
Consider this batchfile
mkdir tmp
cd tmp
put rpt.list

Installing RSPerl (PR#3415)
Full_Name: Nisai Wanakule
Version: 1.7.1
OS: Solaris 2.9
Submission from: (NULL) (65.32.94.36)
I tried to install RSPerl with --with-in-perl option and got some errors. R was
built with --enable-R-shlib as indicated in the RSPerl instructions. Here is the
list output during installation:
nisai@lagrange:src 102$ R CMD INSTALL -c --configure-args='--with-in-perl'

CPAN not working, or is it?
(I've just tried this on a second C7 box, literally clean install, only did it
on Friday, with the same results)
I'm replacing a dead F19 box with a new C7 one and I'm trying to get my Perl
install completed. Ultimately, I need to get Selenium::Remote::Driver
working, but I'm struggling before that.
I started off as always by using RPM's for everything I possibly can. I

mod_perl and httpd2
I've got httpd and mod_perl installed, but I seem to have an
application that requires part of mod_perl that doesn't seem
to be properly installed into perl, notably, the 'Apache' portion.
To 'fix' this, cpan would like to install either mod_perl-1.29,
or alternatively to install mod_perl-2.0.2. 1.29 doesn't seem
smart, and 2.0.2 absolutely will not install over the

The default smbclient doesn't list the files properly either. I've been
romping through the configure script,
and it turns out that certain flags weren't being properly set in
config.h, due to the fact that samba was
being cross-compiled and the test programs couldn't be run. So far,
I've set dev_t to be a u_quad type, and
enabled 64-bit versions of: dirent, ino, off_t,
