[XRay] Build instrumented Clang, some analysis results
Hi everyone,
TL;DR: With current pending patches applied in compiler-rt and llvm, and trunk clang, you can build your application with XRay tracing enabled on Linux with tracing enabled before main starts, and logging stops when the main thread exits.
Just a quick update, I have some patches under review that when applied cleanly to LLVM and compiler-rt allows for building applications with XRay

[LLVMdev] getting pointer to CFG object for any given C program
Hi,
Let say we have a C program, and we want to get pointer to CFG object
for this code
in order to traverse basic blocks and do some analysis using CFG
object.
From my main program main.cpp, how can I get pointer to CFG object if
argv[1] = hello.c ?

-Wmisleading-indentation violations
Hi,
I was building LLVM with gcc 6.1.1 recently and it was spitting out
some warnings relating to misleading indention that caught my eye.
This wasn't a fresh build so I may have missed some. I've CC'ed the
authors of the potentially misleading lines so they can decide what do
about the warnings (if anything).
I'm wondering if clang-format is making some inappropriate choices

Hi,
I had a quick look at that link and it seems to be a linker internal error. Presumably we're triggering a bug in the system toolchain.
FWIW, my mipsel build on a Debian Jessie machine (binutils 2.24.90.20141023-1) successfully completed test-release.sh. I'm currently running the tests.

[GSoC 2018] Integrate with Z3 SMT solver to reduce false positives.
Hi all,
I am a fourth year EE bachelors student who is very interested in
compilers. I have taken the only compilers course offered in my school and
did an independent study with my CS professor. Although I'll begin to work
in a couple of months, I definitely want to pursue my interest in compiler
design and optimization as a PhD in the future. I am very interested in the
z3 SMT solver

[LLVMdev] install question
I'm trying to install llvm on my windows development box and hit a
problem
I'm using cygwin
cygwin% gcc --version
gcc (GCC) 3.4.4 (cygming special, gdc 0.12, using dmd 0.125)
I downloaded both the top of tree via svn
I ran ./configure
