[LLVMdev] Error with instruction selection
Hello, I'm seeing a miscompilation from the following code: declare <4 x float>* @getPtr() define <4 x float> @func() { %rv1 = call <4 x float>* @getPtr() %rv2 = call <4 x float>* @getPtr() %rv3 = load <4 x float>* %rv1 ret <4 x float> %rv3 } The load ends up loading from the pointer returned by the 2nd function call. I traced down the problem to

Stack corruption in newhidups.c
Hi, (please let me know if there is a better place to submit bugs) I run a FreeBSD box with stack-protector enabled, which raises a problem in the upsdrv_initups() function of the newhidups.c module; the regex_array variable is sized one item too small. Regards, Herve Masson <<<< void upsdrv_initups(void) { int i; #ifndef SHUT_MODE /*! * SHUT is only supported by

Wrong relocation emitted when building shared libraries with Control Flow Integrity
Hello, I am encountering a linking failure when using Control Flow Integrity while building a shared library. It looks like the wrong relocation type is being emitted for functions referenced via the PLT. I am using clang 3.9. The error message I get is: /usr/bin/ld.gold: error: /tmp/lto-llvm-df723d.o: requires dynamic R_X86_64_PC32 reloc against 'free' which may overflow at runtime;

[LLVMdev] Bug in Inliner w/ lazy bitcode
Hi everyone, In debugging an LLVM based system with a runtime module loaded from bitcode, I ran into a strange error when trying to use getLazyBitcodeModule instead of just ParseBitcodeFile (when loading lazily I get an "Invalid CALL" during bitcode deserialization). I can't decide if this is a "bug" or just a "you shouldn't use Module/Inliner like this".

Patch to support Powercool PCRACK-1200VA
Hi Folks, This is my first post on nut-upsdev. I would like to share a small patch to enable support for the Powercool PCRACK 1200VA ups. I found that the UPS uses megatec/krauler protocol but is sensitive to the USB buffer length passed to it in requests via usb_get_string(), and usb_get_string_simple(). If the buflen is greater than 102 then the ups will reply to requests but does not

Powercool PCRACK-1200VA patch update
Sorry about the noise guys. Below a significantly improved patch. The main difference is that all calls to usb_get_string_.. have been wrapped in a new function nut_usb_get_string()  that is implemented in libusb.c This was necessary in order to make the bufflen_fix available in libusb.c where usb_get_string() is called in libusb_open() This wrapper function mops up and hides all the work

[PATCH] nr_cpus calculation problem due to incorrect sockets_per_node
Testing on an 8-node 128-way NUMA machine has exposed a problem with Xen''s nr_cpus calculation. In this case, since Xen cuts off recognized CPUs at 32, the machine appears to have 16 CPUs on the first and second nodes and none on the remaining nodes. Given this asymmetry, the calculation of sockets_per_node (which is later used to calculate nr_cpus) is incorrect:

[LLVMdev] [patch] Prototype/proof-of-concept for DWARF type units
This isn't a realistic/viable implementation, just a hacked up "can I make it produce the right output" kind of thing, but while I hammer out a few more details (like fixing MC to allow multiple sections with the same name but different comdat groups) I figured I'd throw it out there to have a bit of a chat about it. I've tested simple cases of a single type and they seem to

[LLVMdev] Finding Merge nodes in CFG (ambika@cse.iitb.ac.in)
hi ambika, I am not sure about this solution as i just started working in this field. How about taking analogy of a problem which ask us to find nearest common parent of two nodes in a tree. [PATCH][RFC] OpenUPS driver
Hi all, I attached a driver for MiniBox openUPS device ( http://www.mini-box.com/OpenUPS) and a dump of the hid usages. I had the possibility to make a few adjustments to the device firmware for HID usages, and although I haven't managed to produce a good structure many issues from previous firmware were at least fixed and new information added. ATM the driver only shows pertaining

[RFC] Updates to ACP smart driver
This patch introduces a handful of new options, I mentioned earlier in: http://www.mail-archive.com/nut-upsdev at lists.alioth.debian.org/msg02088.html See the large commit message in the follow-up for the details and rationale. I realize it's a bit larger diff - so if it's required I can split it into few smaller ones. Michal Soltys (1): APC smart driver update and new features.

Windows Build - Down to Run Time Errors
I finally got a clean compile and link for wxRuby. Now I''m down to deciphering runtime errors. Once again, I''m going to pick up on this tomorrow, but I thought I''d post my console output tonight to see if anyone has any thoughts before I tackle this tomorrow. I''m running the same app "minimal.rb" E:\Dev\RubyDev\wxruby\samples\minimal>ruby

[PATCH v2 4/4] efi: PE file size differ from in-memory size
PE headers code_sz and image_sz indicate more or less, the size of the file and the size of the in-memory image. They are now given the right value. In the ELF format, only the program headers are reliable to determine the actually needed part of the file and the in-memory size. The .bss section should always be marked as NOLOAD for ld since its content shouldn't be included into the binary
